Boris declares war on fat: PM ditches his 'nanny state' worries and demands action plan to tackle Britain's obesity crisis after blaming his severe bout of coronavirus on being overweight

Boris Johnson is planning a war on obesity after deciding his own touch-and-go battle with coronavirus was exacerbated by him being overweight.

The PM is ready to ditch long-standing opposition to 'nanny state' policies and launch a crackdown on the nation's bulging waistlines after coronavirus is defeated.

He's told senior advisers that the experience - which he famously said 'could have gone either way' - has left him determined to lead a public health drive.

Being obese doubles the risk of needing hospital treatment for coronavirus, research shows.

And with one in three British adults now clinically obese, the UK has one of the highest rates in the world.

It kills me how hypocritical these psychos are! Supposedly we’re the ones who are ignorant of science, but dietary science consistently shows that low carb, no sugar is better for the body overall. This has been proven over the last 30 years!

Earlier this year I started a revolutionary diet that I heard mentioned on the Walton & Johnson Show.

“Eat less, move more.”

Hey, it works! Down 23 pounds from my doctor’s visit last year, and plan to lose another 23. It ain’t easy, but it can be done. And yes I am avoiding sugar and carbs. Not completely but choosing my moments.

Either Boris is F.O.S. or we have a different Covid in North Carolina.

I am all for everyone being svelte, fit and healthy.
In real life not gonna happen.
Men and women's magazines have been pushing the chiseled fit beautiful bodies for decades and we still have plenty of fat people everywhere. It takes a lot of work to get that great looking body.
Boris just has fat genes. As long as I have known him, he's always been fat.

Congratulations to you too! I also had one of those moments you described. One day I just decided “it’s time” and so it began.

Boris, take Michelle Obama.

She has a proven track record of designing meals that nobody will eat.

Plug: Katie Hopkins is the bravest woman in Britain if Tommy Robinson is the bravest man in Britain. They are fearless in taking on the Islamo-Fascist regime that now dominates the U.K. and has people arrested for daring to criticize the Religion of Pieces.

But on the subject of obesity, Katie walks the walk and proves the validity of “eat less, move more” as a sure means of losing weight. She put on nearly fifty pounds and then lost it all back to a normal weight again, to make her point.

But if Boris presses his anti-fat campaign, it’s going to look typically totalitarian like so much in Britain today.

British police will stop overweight citizens on the street and order “all right, mate, drop and give me thirty press-ups (pushups) right now or it’s fifty quid in fines for you!”

Children with a few extra pounds will be sent home from British schools in tears while skinny kids laugh at them.

(Not enforced on Muslims, of course)

> Boris Johnson was born in NYC. He could run for President. <

Don’t start printing those “Boris Bro” bumper stickers just yet.

A little-known requirement for being POTUS is that the person must have been a resident in the United States for at least fourteen years. Boris can’t meet that requirement.

Oh, wait. Maybe Boris can contact the fellow who printed up Obama’s birth certificate. They guy can print up tax receipts, etc. showing that Boris actually spent the last 14 years living in a log cabin just outside of Nome, Alaska.

Another case of a politician getting the right idea and approaching it in the wrong way.

Besides being in a nursing home or assisted living community, the biggest common denominator among Covid-19 dead is obesity and one or two additional underlying medical conditions, such as diabetes, hyper-tension, heart disease, or lung disease of some form.

Since diabetes, hyper-tension, and heart disease are also associated with Type 2 Diabetes, working on reducing a nations obesity is a worthy Covid-19 goal and a worthy goal in reducing type 2 diabetes, hyper-tension and heart disease.

Now having identified a variable that people can change, what should a (or several) politicians do to change that variable. Well they could start by leading through example.

And how should they do that? By changing exercise, stress, and diet. Are there things that the government can do to improve exercise, reduce stress, and help people eat more healthy? Yes.

Will people need encouragement as loosing weight is hard? Absolutely. If people loose weight from obese to just mildly overweight will there be huge improvements in public health and reduction in medical costs? Absolutely.

Good luck UK.

The virus is not the problem. It is the underlying health conditions caused by the diabetic process. 99% of those who get the virus don’t die; 99% of those who die, have underlying health conditions related to diabetes (metabolic disorders) — even if they are not diagnosed as diabetics but fall into the category of prediabetics — who may have all the symptoms and syndromes but the measure of high blood sugar, that makes them officially a “diabetic.” That includes the heart disease, high blood pressure, autoimmune inflammation, obesity, disabilities, etc.

That’s what needs to be treated and addressed because there will always be viruses, bacteria, fungus, allergens, pollution in its various forms — which is the major reason one’s first resort should just be the mask, and not the most expensive drug to cure only one specific virus — because then we have to shut down the world again for the next — at even more exorbitant costs.

The threat is not the virus or the mold or pollution, but the individual immune response to it — which varies from zero to death — greatly determined by one’s underlying health condition. Most of the people dying, are dying because they are in poor health in the first place and probably as much as all their lives, so one would expect that any additional load could be fatal. Not surprisingly they congregate at those end stages of life at the acute longterm care center, nursing homes, hospice, and even 55+ complexes of independent living preparatory to reaching end-stage condition.

Those are the people who have largely died — with the occasional sensational exception of the nurse who had no time to put on a mask and proceeded to give chest compressions (expelling air) on a patient who has already died — thus expelling the virus directly into her own respiratory tract. But such incidences, as media-worthy as they are, are still the notable exceptions that the media because of their lack of understanding anything but their own path to their 15 minutes of fame, overlook the particulars that the accompanying photo shows a person in at least prediabetic condition to begin with — since nurses are most likely to follow the CDC and WHO guidelines that predispose them to diabetes, ie., high carbohydrate, as frequent meals as possible, etc. — which of course, is the winning formula for obesity and diabetes.

Such a condition cannot persist forever without end — as they manifest more illnesses and breakdown until total organ failure (sepsis). That is characteristically how people die with Covid-19 — it is the final straw. So we really need to walk back to the beginning where we get this advice that predisposes us to all the diseases of the present day — which are metabolic disorders due to diet, exercise, lifestyle — and ask, why are we being encouraged to eat more carbohydrates, not to go outside and exercise, not to engage in healthful activities and mental health, but merely to remain in a vegetative existence for as long as possible?

Most people don’t have the billions to have their heads hooked up to a vat of chemicals and vaccines to live “forever” — but have to weigh the risks and the rewards of every day living, which includes working, playing, praying, and socializing — even though they cannot be guaranteed that nothing could go wrong as long as they are following the directives of the health czars. And for millions of years, life has been successful that way — and in fact, has achieved record population as we speak.

That’s the real epidemic — caused by the WHO and CDC, and all the well-meaning people who have no idea what they are talking about. There’s no science behind anything they say — just authoritarianism, ideology and self-righteous political correctness.
