The state lacks the authority to close gun shops en masse. Unless they’re going to provide some method of sale equally or less arduous for gun sales and transfers to take place, like shipping? But to shutter them in their entirety is a clear and direct violation of the Second Amendment.
This should be expected when the state turns jailbirds loose but locks up and murders helpless old people in nursing homes.
The article deals with gun stores which defied governor's unlawful shutdown orders.
Here in E. Washington state where I live, gun stores have remained open for business and all local LEO's agree with their decision.
Handguns were flying off of the shelves.
From what I’ve been reading, a lot of liberals/progressives have been buying up guns because they’re worried about the effect a pandemic could have on civil society and they’re a lot less trusting that big daddy government will always be right there to coddle them through anything. And surprise surprise, they’re finding it’s a real pain in the blue states to actually acquire firearms legally. I’ve seen some really frustrated posts from people complaining about all the paperwork, waiting periods, and process surrounding it. Lots of “I THOUGHT YOU COULD JUST WALK IN AND BUY ALL THE GUNS YOU WANTED OFF THE SHELF!” type rants.
Maybe some of these fools will reconsider their position on us needing more “gun control”. Probably not, but one can dream.
Gun stores and gun ranges are essential businesses.

So this guy is an expert on background checks and infectious diseases. That’s pretty impressive.
We may yet have to resort to being armed to protect the very freedoms we have left. I don't think the United States military would fire on American citizens that are peacefully protesting. BUT, if the stinking leftists in charge, say in the White House, allowed United Nations forces, made up of, say the Red Chinese or the Soviets were that occupying UN force, then the US military WOULD have to turn and defend the Republic from the enemy, BOTH foreign (Soviets and Red Chinese and maybe even the Islamics) and domestic (the communist dimocratic homo party)!!!
This virus mess has cost us many freedoms. Our citizens ran for cover like a pack of rats. They took it in, hook, line and big heavy massive STINKERS, err I mean sinkers!! We lost the first battle. Will we lose the war?? The coming election will tell. If Trump loses that election, then yes, the war is indeed LOST!!!
As I have said here before, the commies will immediately move to destroy the Electoral College system, expand the Supreme Court by at least 4 to 5 judges so that they will never lose another case before it. They will vote in huge leftist commie judges, like this fool running the Flynn case. A Klinton appointed commie judge. He might even be trying to earn himself a loyalty appointment to the Supremes when they win the election(s) to come.
America is at a crossroads. Our very existence as a free nation is at hand. How many citizens really KNOW, UNDERSTAND, REALIZE, EXACTLY WHAT IS COMING UPON THIS NATION. I have long feared they do not understand most of these things. It is like our Churches now. We are full of pretend "Christians." Going through the motions. They do not realize what is coming upon this world EVEN when we have several detailed Books of the Bible telling us what is coming. To scared to read, understand, fearful, don't believe, totally FULL of UNBELIEF. This nation is on the verge of collapse. Nearly THIRTY TRILLION in debt, not counting the probably 250 TRILLION in future Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid unfunded expenditures.
The Holy Scriptures DO NOT mention ANY great Western Power in the Last Days. Europe, China, Russia, the Middle East nations are all mentioned, but not South America, Mexico, Canada or the USA. Something bad is going to happen to America, and it starts with the Harpazo/Rapturo/Catching Away/Snatching Out/Rapture of the Church of Jesus Christ (and NO I DON'T mean only the Church of Christ, a domination in the Christian Church!!! I mean the entire Bride of Christ spoken of by the apostle Paul). Once that happens, I believe that starts the END of America. I believe it is near. Even at the door as Christ said. He told us to be watchful for all these signs given in Scripture. THOSE signs are now here. That means His return for His Bride is near. Believe it or not. Do so at your own peril. You had better be right. Belief in Him is your only chance. Know my friends. KNOW what He said, and believe by FAITH. FAITH and NOTHING ELSE!!! NO WORKS!! No buying your way into Heaven. NO family member paying your way in. NO purgatory. NO, by faith and faith alone and BEFORE we die. After death, there is NO SECOND CHANCE!!
I read a book a long time ago about the Hungarian Revolution and when the USSR put it down, they did that very kind of thing.
They knew that the soldiers would be reluctant to fire on relatives, friends, etc, or even anyone of close ethnicity.
So they imported Chinese soldiers, who hated white folks, and those soldiers dealt with the rebellion very ruthlessly.
Likewise, they sent Eastern European soldiers over the the Far Est to deal with troubles in Asian countries.
They used racial hatred to accomplish what they couldn't get done otherwise.
So I would not be the least bit surprised to find a dem controlled federal government bringing in troops from an America unfriendly nation.
Hope these gun buyers also show-up and vote — even a RINO like Mcsally would be far better than any Democrat.

I agree with you. I don’t doubt for one second that the commies here would call in the Soviets or Red Chinese or even the North Koreans to shoot at our people. They will invade with planes, troops, tanks, artillery to shell the cities, use nerve and bio weapons. They will use an event like that to actually overthrow the commies here and take control of this nation.
The commies here who think they can ride this thing out are fools.
They are nothing more than useful idiots who will be sent to the camps just like the rest of us. They will not be safe or protected because the enemy will realize that if they’d be willing to betray their own nations, they would betray their new overlords as will.
Actually, at that point, they’d probably be executed.

I agree with the executions. The REAL commies will ride them, use them, then execute them with that usefulness is done with. That is the way all invading armies do. When the Babylonians attacked Jerusalem with King Nebuchadnezzar back in that day, there were hundreds, even thousands of deserters out of Jerusalem who joined the attacking Babylonians. After Jerusalem was sacked, the Babylonians either executed them or packed them off with the rest of Judah as prisoners to be sold at market and enslaved. It always works out that way. Deserters are never looked upon as a positive, only as a useful tool.
Buy high sell low.... My strategy is slightly different.....I decided I’ll make it up in volume! :^)
