The California Democrat has asserted since launching his investigation that there was behind-the-scenes evidence proving there was collusion and would tease the he could not 'go into particulars.'
'The Russians offered help, the campaign accepted help,' Schiff told CNN in December 2017. 'The Russians gave help and the President made full use of that help.'
But the Journal asserts: 'None of this was true, and Mr. Schiff knew it.'
In one instance of contradictory testimony, Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper told Schiff and the panel of lawmakers in December 2017 that he 'never saw any direct empirical evidence that the Trump campaign or someone in it was plotting/conspiring with the Russians to meddle with the election.'
Barack Obama's former Attorney General Loretta Lynch agreed in her testimony about three months later.

I wish he would stop saying that. There WAS Russian collusion. It was between Hillary and Russia, though.

This is the problem with having hack politicians on these committees asking questions, and not skilled attorney. When I hear an answer like "...never saw any direct empiracle evidence..." I would ask at least three more questions.
Q1: Did you ever see any direct evidence...?
Q2: Did you ever see any empiracle evidence...?
Q3: Did you ever see any evidence...
Then I would expect Clapper to have been asked about the word "saw".
Q4: Mr. Clapper, you've testified that you never saw any evidence...Did you receive any evidence...? Are you aware of any evidence...?
Somebody needed to put that MFer in a box from which he could not later escape.
