Silly question - but exactly what is the purpose of protesting in DC? Nearly ALL of the economy-destroying shutdowns are from the state level (and some at the local/county level). How is protesting in DC going to fix that?

I thought the same. It seems they aren’t protesting to open the nation, they want the same money the airlines and railroads are getting.
Not really our kind of protest.
