Tucker Carlson: Dr. Fauci has not been elected to anything. He should not be dictator during this coronavirus crisis
Fox News ^ | May 13 2020 | Tucker Carlson

Posted on 05/13/2020 7:58:15 AM PDT by knighthawk

Dr. Tony Fauci appeared on Capitol Hill Tuesday to testify before members of Congress. The topic, of course, was the ongoing debate over when and how to reopen the country at schools and workplaces amid the coronavirus pandemic, when to do it, and how quickly.

Dr. Fauci left no doubts about how he feels on that question. Opening up now, he said, after just two months of lockdowns, is a very risky, indeed a dangerous, prospect. Letting Americans work and learn once again could be a catastrophe, he said.

And he wasn't just referring to a handful of hotspots that have been hit especially hard. Entire states, Fauci said, likely need to remain closed.

He should at least have to show his math. How did he go from 2 millions deaths to 240,000?

He should lose his job and do this for free.

No matter what....he is merely speculating. And he doesn’t give a sh** about anyone except himself.

Dr. Fauci did not put himself into his position, and he has not kept himself in his position. 100% of the responsibility belongs to the person who placed him in his position and permits him to remain there. (One can say exactly the same about Dr. Birx if one objects to her.)

Mr. Carlson, do you know the name and position of the person from whom Drs. Fauci and Birx derive 100% of their influence?

We really need to be asking the "experts":

"How many Americans have died from the SEASONAL FLU this year?"

They have no answer, because there is more political and financial profit in lumping them in with COVID-19 deaths.

Yes, that is the thing that bothers me most. Trump and Pence put him at the head of all this and Trump has virtually surrendered his authority to Fauci.

One of Trump’s biggest errors was not to clean out all hold-overs, and let the press howl as they may. Every single person he kept has turned out to be still actively working for the other side, and Fauci is no exception.

He is a bureaucrat plain and simple. Bureaucrats always strive to maintain the status quo and never go out on a limb. He cannot be held to account for any deaths if he maintains a “keep the country closed” policy. Economics is not in his portfolio.

Great idea. Nobody on The Task Force should get paid for as long as the lockdown lasts.

Fauci was basing his numbers on early reporting of new cases.

But that's not the point.

The point is that there's more issues on the table than what makes sense for wealthy elites like Fauci and his friends...

They can afford to sit in their million dollar digs...almost forever. And if all of us had the money the Fauci's of the world have - or the on-air 'talent' of MSNBC, then Fauci would be right. We'd all sit in our mansions and penthouse apartments until this blew over. But we're NOT all 'Joe and Mika' and the sycophants....

So don't sell him short. In an ideal world he would be about 99% right. Little details like people losing their jobs, families, homes, and reason to live eludes 'elites' like Fauci. All our 'elites' want is TESTING - - they want THEIR servants, helpers, decorators, beauticians, chefs etc BACK WORKING FOR THEM. They don't give a damn a about the rest of us.

Thanks to Rand Paul we have a useful sound bite wherein Fauci admits he is not the one who gets to decide when things open back up.

“we have a useful sound bite wherein Fauci admits he is not the one who gets to decide when things open back up.”

I hope PDJT hears and understands this. I feel so sorry for him being in this position between a rock and a hard place. Until the hoaxademic, he was sailing along and doing great — probably even enjoying himself in spite of 24/7 attacks. He likes a fight. But when the epidemic came, and he realized that millions of lives could/would be impacted, it had to be horrific for him.

My real problem is Dr. Faucci continually dismisses reports about the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine (when used in combination with azithromycin). I have genuine concerns that Faucci is committed to supporting the big pharmaceutical companies that cannot profiteer from hydroxycholorquine, which is inexpensive to prescribe (costing about $1.00 per day to use). Faucci wants to promote research and development of new drugs that will require government grants and be subject to patents. New drugs will cost much more to use.

Vice President Pence has no independent authority. It is all held by that one person.

When you round to one digit, he had the significant digit correct. Guess he just wasn't too good with the decimal place. Might could use some math remediation. And this is the guy running the country right now?

Fauci should be fired.

In the meanwhile, however, he can be sidelined.

All Trump has to say is that Fauci is busy and cannot attend further live events or communicate to the media.

Trump should stop having press conferences anyway.

Fireside Chats would be better.

There is no shortage of doctors in this country who disagree with Fauci’s view of how to handle the virus.

Trump needs to name several to his task force and begin drowning Fauci out.

It was just last month that Dr. Fauci told the rest of us it was totally fine to have sex with strangers you meet on the internet on dating apps. Totally cool. “Hey, man. He's old, but he's cool.”

But almost simultaneously, he said that nobody should ever shake hands again, just to be safe.

Fauci: I don't think we'd ever should have to shake hands ever again, to be honest with you. Not only would it be good to prevent coronavirus disease, it probably would decrease the incidence of influenza dramatically in this country.

You can't shake hands with anybody, even those you love. Not ever. Cause coronavirus. But you can meet total strangers and have sweaty sex with them without worrying about coronavirus?
This guy is a lunatic.
its simple really. Every single red state governors l should listen to what Fauci has to say...and then do the EXACT OPPOSITE. You can't go wrong doing that.

His boss needs to fire him.

If any of you had done the wreckless job that he has, you'd be sent out the door with escorts.

Why hasn't he been fired? I don't want to hear that it's some 4d chess game because that's bullshit. Who in their right mind would put his countrymen through this?
