What has the Republican led Senate done to DESERVE reelection?

SCOTUS and judges.

Overall they've done a decent job on these two.

I’m here in Colorado and we have been inundated by people from out-of-state. Progs whose businesses have moved from high tax areas or who have been demographically displaced.

Cory Gardner is never heard from, never stands up for anything and most people don’t know who he is.

For Republicans this election is going to turn on Turnout.

It means that GOTV efforts will have to be organized on the county/precinct level. It means planning, followup, review, analysis.......contact with the base is very time consuming, takes a lot of effort.

It all depends what you want out of the election. Miracles don’t happen without a lot of work.

You get the government you vote for, and you work for.

I thought the turtle handled the impeachment trial really well. How come your didn’t say that?

I think the turtle is handling the judges really well too. How come you didn’t say that?

Given the rule of needing 60 Senators to pass most legislation and he has only 53, with 3 being wild cards, the turtle is doing all right.

Sigh... GA is not in play... anyone citing you a poll showing BIDEN winning GA is just as ludicrous as the polls early in 2016 cycle showing Hillary up 10 there... stupid.

No, Repubs aren’t winning Michigan.

I don't believe that for a minute.

Agreed. What this is is a worst case scenario. If everything went poorly this could be the outcome. It is unlikely. What is ignored is that Red States still went strongly red in 2018, even when the pendulum swung far to the left. We lost in congressional districts but did very well statewide virtually everywhere. We will win Georgia seats likely Kansas in a presidential year. I agree CO is lost and AZ seems highly likely unless there is a big wave to the right. Kelly is simply a much stronger candidate. Trump will win the state but mcsally is just uninspiring. Despite strong headwinds I can easily see Collins surviving. She will get massive resources and has years of name recognition. The power of incumbency is massive. No guarantee but she’s far from out.

You’re correct, but I’m really sick of McConnell being praised “well, look what he’s done for Judges!!!” - Whoopee-effing-do. Wouldn’t any REAL Republican leader have been just as effective? How about looking, instead, at everything McConnell HASN’T done - like support Trump IN ANY DAMN WAY the past three years.

I hate that POS. He’s no different than a worm I might accidentally step on as I take the garbage except worms actually serve some useful purpose.

The only time polls can be trusted is in the month before the election, when they can be tested against what happened. The rest of the time they are a propaganda tool.

At least, that’s how I see them.

I wish I could remember the poll and screen shot it, but one poll that had been shoing Trump slowly gaining ground, but still behind, actually showed him ahead the day before the election. But they quickly revised it down to show him down by a point or two. If only they had not decided to fudge the numbers, they would be famous now.

Polls probably are meaningless six months out.

On the other hand, the Republican Party no longer represents or can even articulate a clear political philosophy.

Trump is the closest thing the GOP has to a national leader, but Trump has never been a Conservative.

Before COVID-19, he did a good job of improving the economy.

However, my top two issues are massive LEGAL immigration and out of control federal spending.

Even before COVID, Trump badly failed on both of those challenges.

Win or lose in 2020, Trump will be the last Republican president in American history.

Trump postponed the GOP’s political suicide, but he did nothing consequential to stop it.

With luck, we’ll end up with a 50-50 split, with VP Pence breaking the tie.

Wow.

You recited the CNN talking points perfectly.

Like another poster said, stop being such a water carying ninny. Get off your ass and fight these hard left aholes.

They are destructive tyrannical bastards, and clearly so if you just point it out to anyone with half a brain. They do not have a clear path to victory, yet you post this crap as if they do.

Trump trails Biden in most polls

That would be the same polls that predicted President-for-life Hillary Clinton.

They know Trump will win, if the election were held now. That's why they're still trying to destroy the economy. They want to change the conditions, to make everything much worse.

No. I have McSally and Gardner as losses; Collins a hold, GA a hold but with Collins instead of Loeffler; and AL a pickup for a net loss of 1 seat (52-48)

I had hopes for John James til he stuck his RINOish foot in his mouth about Trump. You cannot afford ONE mistake in a race this close.

The 52-48 margin is crucial, for it prevents Minion Romney from becoming the most important man in the Senate. At 50-50, Minion will always hold that over Yertle’s head for any vote.

Disagree. In fact, Collins is far stronger than Loeffler, Tuberville will easily defeat Jones.

Gardner and McSally are incumbents. You won’t “recruit” against an incumbent.

James had a real shot til last week when he was caught on record bashing Trump.

It will be 52-48. This means we can lose Minion and one other (MurCowSki or Tom Collins) and still have Pence be a tiebreaker.

Poll errors +/- 10%. If you think ANY of these push polls are accurate, then I’ve got a bridge in NY that I’ll sell you.
