Elon Musk hasn't been arrested, as production continues at Tesla without California county's permission

Elon Musk remained a free man on Tuesday afternoon, despite violating shelter-in-place orders by reopening Tesla’s Fremont, Calif., factory without permission from Alameda County, where the facility is located.

Musk tweeted on Monday that production had restarted, saying: “I will be on the line with everyone else. If anyone is arrested, I ask that it only be me.”

The county health department said Monday that Tesla had gone beyond the minimum allowed operations, which opened Musk up to a potential misdemeanor charge and either 90 days in jail or a fine of $1,000 per day. However, the Fremont Police Department, which would be the agency to enforce the law, told KGO News it had no intention of arresting Musk on Tuesday.

Elon Musk appeared to be open minded to me. A free thinker. So there’s a good chance that he swallowed the red pill.

He'd be losing vastly more money than that if he kept the factory closed.
If those f**kers in Alameida County arrested him and shut down the factory, he'd be out of California as quickly as he can get a factory together elsewhere.

So which governor will be the first to call up National Guard to enforce these edicts? Which mayor will be the first to request that the National Guard be called in?

It’s going to happen because the left wants violence in the streets. And it is going to see it’s wish come true.

Until last week Massachusetts said it was too dangerous to play golf and closed golf courses. About that time several golf course and said we are opening up whether you like it or not, screw you. Suddenly the RINO governor said it was OK to open up golf courses the day before they threatens to open on their own, however no golf carts were allowed as that will kill people because of coronavirus. After the state and golf courses had lawyers threaten to sue them for violating the Americans With Disabilities Act due to prohibiting golf carts, suddenly golf carts were safe to use once again.

Like I said, bullies back down when challenged.

Also, we never did close the golf courses in my part of Fla. and hallelujah were still alive somehow.

Also also, someone in Mass. Said screw you? That almost never happens. :^)

In other words there is a high probability they will never open if they keep that up as there is no guarantee you’ll ever find a vaccine that is effective.

“Tesla knows far more about what needs to be done to be safe through our Tesla China factory experience than an (unelected) interim junior official in Alameda County,” he tweeted.

Correct.
What the heck does this Alameda County bureaucrat know about running a car factory?

As a resident of California for 50 years back when our state governor was the great Ronald Reagan, my advice to Elon Musk is to never again build so much as an out house in California, and whatever facilities that you have here which can be relocated to another state without a significant impact on production and costs do so ASAP.

For any business looking to build new or additional facilities, do not even consider this state which has both a corrupt governor and legislature who will make your life a nightmare.

California knows Elon has better lawyers, and he’ll bust it all the way past the 9th Circus to the Supremes— and it will have collateral effects.

“States that release their criminals over Corona would look pretty stupid locking up business owners.”

You are right but never underestimate the stupidity of California and other leftist bastions. The city of Dallas, Texas is a perfect example.

Above all, the government wants money. Any way they can get it.

First, last and always.

American Taxpayers would have to spend many millions to move the plant, inventory and employees. No thanks; he needs to stay where he is.

“Elon Musk was formerly a liberal who was mugged making him a conservative.”

Peter Thiel, Musk, Ken Howery and three others are listed as the founders of Paypal.
Thiel is a known libertarian, Howery is the current US ambassador to Sweeden.

Musk spreads his campaign donations around:

Hard to guess with a guy that names his son X Æ A-12 yes that is the name.

$1,000 a day fine? That’s peanuts for an outfit like tesla.

LOL, you mean peanuts for you, me, and every other taxpayer :)
