Beaches in Los Angeles will re-open on Wednesday, which will come as good news to surfers, swimmers, joggers and walkers. The indulgence one must pay to Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti for the privilege of walking or jogging on the beach, however, is to follow the edict that the people who own the beaches of California must wear a mask.
Well have to pay a lot of attention to what that means in a county with as many people, with 10 million people, county health director Barbara Ferrer said at a news conference Monday. Like, are we able to keep our beaches from getting crowded? Are we able to keep people moving? Are we able to have all of us wear our face coverings when were going to and from places where theyre going to be other people?
Like New York, the LA County hotspots for COVID-19 deaths are in nursing homes. KTLA TV reports 47% of all COVID-19 cases in Los Angeles County are in nursing homes, and half of the cases in the entire state are in nursing homes and probably more. With L.A. County accounting for roughly half of all coronavirus cases and deaths in California, ...
But everyone else on the beaches of Los Angeles must wear a mask while walking or jogging in the relatively fresh air beaches of LA. Inexplicably, Garcetti had no requirements to wear a mask and socially distance while in the water. K
.... To discourage sunbathing, gatherings and picnics, people will not be allowed to lie or sit on the sand, nor will they be able to bring items such as coolers, umbrellas and canopies.

Yeah like: don’t on onto the sand. Do not enter the water.
These Democrat dictators are just stuck on stupid.
WRONG. We were at crowded Venice Beach Sunday, and not one person was wearing a mask. If you had half a brain cell, why would you wear a face mask at the beach??

“If I say it’s safe to surf this beach, then it’s safe to surf this beach!”
instead of wearing a mask, can I instead renounce God and Trump? /s
These are the same restrictions for Orange County beaches that are now open. However, the parking lots and strand walkways are still closed in OC. Wonder if it’s the same in LA.

Well, to be fair that’s how we did it here in NE Florida......SIX WEEKS AGO
Dummie has to know how to read, interpret.
Lockdown burnout. People are reaching the end of their patience.
Masks worn outside the way nearly everybody wears a mask is not only dehumanizing by hiding your identity, it is impolite, anti-social and provides no more protection against receiving or transmitting the Chinese virus than does not wearing a mask!
it would make for a very distinctive tan line would it not?
The beach cops were around but they didnt care. One lifeguard went Nazi on the guy beside us when he did ask about the facemask and that guy said “Dude, dont bother me and my tan”.
So, here’s the thing: the “order” exempts paddleboarders from the mask edict.
Exactly.
I’m an advocate of the mask idea in enclosed, interior spaces. Grocery stores, Drug stores, and airplanes eventually.
Outside in the blazing sun? Distance alone is sufficient.
Can you swim in a mask?
God bless you my friend. How in the world do you put up with living out there? I couldn’t do it. Spent 10 days in norcal/sacremento area back in the 80s. The 1st day in San Fran. Beautiful part of the country...some of the people however...
Good! At least in the event of an undertow they won’t have to shout for help through a mask! Thanks for the clarification.
