Gov. Cuomo will never be confused with Fiorello La Guardia. When I make a mistake, its a beaut, the legendary mayor of New York once confessed.
Unfortunately, Cuomos pride and political calculations dont allow him to admit error even as he finally reverses one of the mostly deadly policy mistakes in New York history.
Nursing homes and rehabilitation centers have tallied more than 5,000 coronavirus deaths, yet the governor accepts zero responsibility despite his March 25th order forcing them to take infected patients from hospitals.

Reversal?!?
Wait, did anyone hear CuomoIdiot apologize for such, anyone?
Michael Goodwin is an excellent reporter.
Cuomo had the resources to better safeguard the elderly. Instead, he chose otherwise.
Cuomo has nothing to worry about, the mainstream media will cover for his stupidity.
Rumor has it the same is going on in Virginia.
To get real facts about the ongoing coverup by NYS in this nursing home debacle, read the link below. It clearly shows that the average number of deaths per state occurred in Nursing Homes (@40%). On the map of the states and their respective percentages, NYS shows only 11% of deaths statewide occurred in Nursing Homes. This is merely sleight of hand. By changing records the State changed nursing home deaths into hospital deaths. The back effect is that now NYS is the outlier ......... with the lowest percentage of deaths in nursing homes!

This WHOLE time he’s been spouting nonsense about “if it saves one life” destroying the economy was worth it.
It ends up he’s the political equivalent of a mass murderer with his nursing home ruling.
i wish he could be charged with something
but we know what wishes are worth
i can also now say that this insanity is taking a tremendous mental toll on some people.
do suicides count as lives?
Sound a 2 or even 4 month lockdown cause a person to end it?
Every person’s situation is different so there is no straight answer.
With a good life and a good family, very likely no.
not everybody has that. that’s especially tough on some kids...sorry for digressing
He had a missive field hospital at the Javits center and 2 other in the NYC area as I recall and a hospital ship for non-COVID to free up space in hospitals for COVID patients, yet this idiot put COVID cases in nursing homes and made it illegal to even test them.
Only the Javits hospital saw a hand full of patients and is closed and dismantled, and the Comfort barley saw any as well.
Cuomo caused thousands to die.
Cuomo is personally responsible for the deaths of thousands.
He stopped the distribution of HCQ, allowed infected patients to be placed in nursing homes and never took advantage of Javits Center nor the Naval Hospital ship, both locations were fully staffed to accept patients at great expense. This guy is nuts.
Gov. Kemp here in GA has gotten tons of criticism in the media, but when he mobilized state resources, one of the first things he did was send the National Guard in to clean up nursing homes. And things are so far going well here. < crosses fingers>
“Love is never having to say you’re sorry.”
Meanwhile, in NY Times Square, someone has put up a “death clock” blaming Trump for 60% of corona-virus deaths because he should have acted sooner. Over Democratic objections?
It eases the medicaid costs
Cuomo needs a death clock in times Square.
Looks like NYS is playing fast and loose with the nursing home death stats, too.
Deaths of nursing home residents who contracted WuFlu at their nursing homes but died while hospitalized may not be counted in the nursing home stats...
They probably picked nursing homes that vote higher republican.
It would be interesting to see if the mortality rates for dual-eligibles, seniors on Medicare and Medicaid, are higher than for seniors on any other forms of coverage.
Cuomo looks like a friggen goblin. All he needs is a hood and a scythe, hed be the Reaper.
