Beauty salons threaten to sue California Gov. Newsom over coronavirus restrictions

As businesses in California begin reopening this weekend after being shut down by the coronavirus pandemic, nail salons and barbershops are planning to sue Gov. Gavin Newsom for not being included in the second phase of the state's reopening plan.

Newsom said last week that retailers with curbside pickup, including clothing stores, bookstores, sporting goods stores and florists, could begin a phased reopening starting Friday. When asked on Thursday about why nail salons and barbershops weren't included in the second phase, Newsom said it was because a nail salon was the origin of California's first community spread of coronavirus.

"This whole thing started in the state of California, the first community spread, in a nail salon,' he said. 'I just want to remind everyone of that. I'm very worried about that."

Get the beauticians to do a home visit.
Care is needed because tattletales abound.

Open everything. For Pete’s sake, I notice most of the governors are keeping their coiffures just fine...so they obviously get private cuts. Let the rest of us less fortunate get our own,

BTW, I read that Gov. Beshear has kept his entire palace functioning during this, with staff coming and going every day...including his butler. Who knew a governor had a butler? And considered him essential?

Why threaten? Sue Gavin Newsom a thousand times - he won’t follow the court orders.

If anyone told me the new Maccabees in America were hairdressers I would have mocked then...now, I’m praying for them to be good leaders, hairdressers with swords!

It started in a nail salon?

I thought it started at a birthday party?

The quicker nuisance is gone, the better.

What a self-centered fool and clueless, like the Dems.

This whole thing started in the state of California, the first community spread, in a nail salon,’ he said.

Ok I get it.
Nail salons bad.
Clothing stores, bookstores, sporting goods, grocery stores and florists good. That will teach you nail salon owners.

According to Newsome’s guidelines announced on Friday California will never re-open its economy. Until your county goes 14 days without ONE coronavirus death you are locked down. Maybe one or two of the tiny counties in Northern California might be able to open.

So if it had started in a liquor store or weed store or grocery store, would he have kept them closed forever too?

I keep wondering, what if there had been no edict for a lock down, how would have each one of us dealt with the problem, out of our own interest for self preservation?

What creative solutions would different business owners have come up with to reduce the angst of potential customers and thus attract them?

I could see them competing to find the best safe conditions to get our business.

How much talent and American ingenuity has been wasted by this “politicians and experts” knows best edict?

Ok.
So how many people and how many companies (outside the big tech giants) will be left in California by then?
Heck even the Mexican illegals will hightail it the heck out of town.
