A prime example of Jews mistrust of some Christians.
I have no problem with this.
Israel is a Jewish state and is opposed to Christian (and other, as far as I know) religious prosyletization.
All people should have the right to rule themselves, have secure borders, and keep out alien peoples and ideas.
ALL people. That includes us.
I wish we’d shut down a few hucksters, preaching in the name of the Lord.
Impossible, our ‘elder brothers in the faith’ would never do that.
This is going to be a fun thread :)
I have been reading about this in Kehila News (supports station) and JPost/Arutz Sheva (basically oppose). From what I gather, it is not a cut-and-dried legal case, and the station’s lawyers expect to prevail. Definitely a complicated situation, I don’t know enough to have a firm opinion. But I do remember some Israeli guy saying something about “Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and the ends of the earth”.
“But on Tuesday, Israeli Communications Minister David Ansalem said in a statement he was not aware that a license was granted to GOD TV, adding he “will not allow any missionary channel to operate in Israel, at no time and under no circumstances.”
Gee, what are they afraid of?
“Proselytizing to anyone under 18 years old without parental consent is against the law in Israel”
What about promoting homosexuality? Are networks which air Ellen Degenerate banned?
Imperfect as it is we are grateful to have some semblance of freedom of religion in this country.
The darkness hates the light.
We don't have to like what they do, and shouldn't be expected to say that we do.

Though the article mentions it it's worth noting again, in Israel it's illegal to proselytize those under 18, not to proselytize adults. Also to pay someone to convert. Obviously a TV show will reach those under 18.
LOL Jesus isn’t allowed in Israel...maybe Egypt will show it? Oops not there either...China? So many hard headed souls.
