Dressed up to look like something that it’s not - but money in it for someone!! “You can take that to bank” (ala Pelosi)… Not one piece of legislation gets introduced in DC without funds from it being funneled to someone because of generous campaign contributions. It’s DC’s way of saying “thanks.” The rest of us just call or write someone when we want to say “thanks.”

In the country - don’t count on it. Most people of my generation have a cellphone that never leaves their purse or house - specifically for emergencies on the road or to call the power company when power goes out in the house.
