Whenever I hear that song I think of the helicopter insertion scene from The Predator movie.

The last of what I call the “four founders” of Rock and Roll to pass. Buddy Holly, Elvis, Chuck Berry and Little Richard. RIP

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tutti_Frutti_(song)

The original lyrics, in which “Tutti Frutti” referred to a homosexual man, were:

Tutti Frutti, good booty

As wild as Little Richard acted onstage, he must have had a lot of self control seeing that he lived till he was 87.
There must have been times when he Just Said No.
Prince (equally talented and charismatic) didn’t even make it to the age of 60.

True Fine Mama was always my favorite too.
Leon Russell did a great tribute.

If there’s a rock and roll heaven, well you know they’ve got a hell of a band.

With Mother's Day being tomorrow, it is interesting to think of his version of this song in a completely different (innocent) context...

Only rumors - he never claimed to be homosexual and nobody ever claimed to have "been" with him.
The make-up was part of his schtick. You wouldn't call Mark Bolan or Alice Cooper homo because they wore makeup.

Little Richard was a Christian man - a co-worker of mine met him on a flight and Little Richard talked about the Lord and gave him a bible.

We all here name our own favorite LR song, he might have been little but he left us fond big memories of a great entertainer.

He did shows well up in his years. True the man off stage
had deep faith, and I suspect God will welcome him into
his angels arms to RIP forever. I pray its so.
