There’s a proposal to do that with $15k a year, a universal basic income; As I get older and look at the alternatives, I think it has some merit relative to the quagmire of federal and state welfare that seems designed for fraud, and to keep people fromm getting money unless they are connected or pay the right people to help them.
If they do this then I’m retiring and moving to some Caribbean island where I can dive every day
