WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department on Thursday said it is dropping the criminal case against President Donald Trump’s first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, abandoning a prosecution that became a rallying cry for Trump and his supporters in attacking the FBI’s Russia investigation.

>>Flynn might have been better equipped to pursue a civil lawsuit if the judge had ruled in his favor on the matter.

The FBI was prosecuted for the overreach that let Bill Ayers walk free after he bombed the Pentagon.

Go for criminal charges against the FIB not just civil charges.

So, how long will it take by any means to get the money he lost on the sale of his house and Attorney fees>

"Flynn might have been better equipped to pursue a civil lawsuit if the judge had ruled in his favor on the matter."

There is a motion to withdraw a guilty plea and a motion to dismiss from the prosecution. I think the judge would be on solid ground granting both motions. How could he grant dismissal of charges with a valid guilty plea?

Both of these motions do not reflect well on those filing them.

Did he? I thought the original investigators didn't conclude that and it only became "lying to the FBI" when the Obama political appointees got involved.

What happened to the original FD-302 record of Flynn's interview?

“The FBI said Flynn told the truth.”

If that were true, there would never be a case.

The Justice Department said Flynn’s FBI interview was “untethered and unrelated” to a fraud counter-intelligence operation against him.

That is why DOJ is dropping the charges.

I don’t know about that. Apparently if you lie and it wasn’t material to an investigation then it’s not necessarily criminal. Flynn didn’t Impeded any investigation as their was none or sufficient evidence of a crime being committed. Basically if you’re talking to a FBI agent in a casual conversation that’s not related to anything and you lie to him like a guy lying to a buddy or friend or neighbor, the agent can’t claim you lied to him and therefore should be prosecuted for lying to the FBI. Although Flynn didn’t lie....he pleaded guilty under duress as he fell on the sword to save his son of whom they were threatening to prosecute

So is this better/worse than if Judge Sullivan had made the ruling?

Would have been better justice if Sullivan dismissed with prejudice. That way the prosecutors could be more readily indicted, as opposed to merely sued.

Despite all of their scheming and calculating, the perjury trap failed miserably. Flynn told the truth. As noted in my last column, the subsequent FBI report stated that Flynn gave no indication of deception It concluded that “Strzok and (redacted FBI agent) both had the impression at the time that Flynn was not lying or did not think he was lying.”

I have a feeling that very soon we are all going to have to make the same choice that lady made. To wit} Kiss the ass of some Governmental Hitler or go to jail. I hope that when it comes my turn, I conduct myself in the same manner she did.

The individuals who framed him ought to have to personally pay him back every dime he spent on his defense and lost because of their lies. And then they ought to be indicted. I’m sure there is a long list of crimes they committed.

That is one seriously misleading headline.

All the same, now do the same for Roger Stone. And put Tomeka Hart in prison and throw away the key.

Interesting meme. Ayn Rand once wrote about the government making so many laws that they could charge just about anyone with violating something.

"I’m hoping Trump makes some comments, ..."

I read something the other day claiming that Barr and Durham confer daily and that Trump has been asked not to comment on what they are doing. That probably leaves some room for Trump to comment but perhaps not as much as we might want.

I’m hoping that this will allow other cards to fall that were waiting on the disposal of this case.

“Order of dismissal with prejudice has been sent to Sullivan. He has to sign it.”
~~~~~~
THAT is exactly what I was looking to find.
Dismissed with prejudice means they can’t reopen the case against him.
Free and Clear!
