Most new Covid-19 hospitalizations in New York state are from people who were staying home and not venturing much outside, a “shocking” finding, Gov. Andrew Cuomo said Wednesday.
The preliminary data was from 100 New York hospitals involving about 1,000 patients, Cuomo said at his daily briefing.
It shows that 66% of new admissions were from people who had largely been sheltering at home. The next highest source of admissions was from nursing homes, 18%.
Attack virus going door to door to infect and kill the unwashed masses in NY. You cannot hide by sheltering in place in NY, the Governor or the Attack Virus will search you out and kill you.
During the Spanish flu, all those many years ago when they had virtually no treatments for anything, there were so many people ill that they had to build overflow outdoor field hospitals. The people placed in those - basically large tents either without sides or with flaps they could let down if necessary - recovered at a rate several times greater than that of the people who were in the actual (airless indoor) hospitals.
First nursing home(s), now staying at home, plus they just started mass sanitizing NYC subway.....
NY state and NYC are led by fools. (Also looking at you NJ) And What’s dragging the rest of the nation down.
Otherwise, the statistics on Covid-19 in the US look much better, yes, even including other blue states/blue cities.
Damn near everybody has or has had the virus. It’s airborne.
Which is why in California,they are playing games and not testing to find out how many of us, including, old goats who have had this virus and survived it.
What’s the best immunity bolstering defense? Vitamin D. Maybe also Vitamin C.
What’s the best way to develop Vitamin D deficiency? Shelter inside away from the sun as per the Blue State thugs/governers!
Wear mask all day and deprive your lungs of pure oxygen.
I have been voting for the primary challenger to every incumbent at the federal level for at least a dozen years. My candidate often loses. I think it’s rigged towards incumbents. You have to really screw up a lot for people in your state to get sick of you.
At the state level, I think it’s not as much a shoe-in as it is congressionally.

Lots of apartment buildings in NYC. Common areas you share with your building neighbours...hallways, elevators, lobbies and perhaps underground garages. High end condos have a lot of other common areas too.
Even more lucrative that one day they were feeling fine, until NY government found out you were a pensioner, and that funny Coronaiee smell started coming in from the vents.
When it’s 30 to 40 outside, it’s a bit chilly to open the windows for more than a few minutes. In my location, we’ve had only 3 days in the last month that got above 70. So it’s hard to keep the windows open for long.

One thing you can do is get a basement fan. It will suck air through the cracks in your house and freshen the interior that way.
I’ll have to check in to that. Our old house had an attic fan. I guess the basement one is the same kind of thing.
