Blanca Doña Nelly Torres lives in an assisted living senior residence in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

Without Lourdes(daughter) assistance, it is unlikely that Doña Nelly would be able to vote not only because of the language barrier, but also because at 87, her vision isnt what it used to be. Lourdes was able to help her vote during the primaries, but that was before her residence stopped allowing visitors due to the threat of COVID-19. If the virus continues to limit gatherings into the November elections, Doña Nelly fears she along with millions of other Latino voters facing similar limitations may not be able to fully complete and cast her general election ballot.
Meanwhile, in Wisconsin, home to a large and growing Puerto Rican community, the U.S. Supreme Court blocked a last-minute attempt by Gov. Tony Evers (D) to postpone the states presidential primary amid concerns over COVID-19. The Court rationalized, in part, that changing the election date one day prior to the election would confuse voters and adversely impact voters and voter turnout. Justice Ginsberg, in her dissenting opinion, rightly noted Either they will have to brave the polls, endangering their own and others safety. Or they will lose their right to vote, through no fault of their own.

With nearly 32 million Latinos eligible to vote in the upcoming election we must keep in mind that Latino voter ballots are often disproportionately challenged in jurisdictions that require exact name matching or strict documentary proof of citizenship and these problems can be exacerbated by voting by mail. Protections are needed to avoid discriminatory voter challenges and purging, and to ensure that every eligible voters vote is counted, including newly-naturalized citizens and millions of young, first-time voters.

Is anyone else tired of the incessant Hispanic whiners who require special help and special consideration for everything they do?
Uh oh. Three writers, a propaganda sob story, and The Hill.
They just can't help themselves from revealing their total bias.
Master Bader Ginsberg
We’ll be hearing this for 6 solid months. This, and Coronavirus.
This old lady probably doesn’t even know where she is at much of the time. The daughter just wants to vote for her
Pathetic.
But, if an American moves to Mexico, they are NEVER allowed to vote
8>)
This is going to keep me up all night now.
Thanks..
Democrats never fail to get the vote of nursing home patients by “helping” them fill out their ballots
A UAW buttboy once bragged to me about always volunteering to do just that
And all 3 writers have hispanic surnames...
need a federal law prohibiting ballot harvesting across the country.
Sniff, sniff, OK I’m over it.
Irene Oria, Katherine Culliton-González and Jorge Luis Vasquez,Jr., can urinate up a rope.
And then wipe their cheating Democrat asses with it.
ABC news this morning had a guy saying that the blacks, mexicans and native Americans are being discriminated against because the covid19 seems to be infecting more of them than whitey. He said it’s not their fault if they don’t social distance, where masks, stay at home and away from all-night block parties......it’s not their fault.....geeze....give me a break.....are the poor blacks, mexicans and native Americans really that studip that they can’t grasp the reality of the covid19 situation? screw the race baiters.
I doubt if she has even thought about it. Ah but the authors of the article have thought about the propaganda they can produce to push vote by mail and ballot harvesting. So while Pelosi seems to have given up on this issue, the Democrats very well organized (and phony) “grass roots efforts at fairness” have begun.
And did anybody notice the fact that since she cannot read English, how can she be a citizen?
God help this country. It is increasingly becoming clear this is what it is coming down to and God DOES NOT help in cases like this. We better wake up or November 5th will be the darkest day in our history because that will be the end.
English is required for citizenship.
Citizenship is required for voting.
Not if they vote Democrat.
