Ratcliffe refuses to say whether or not Russian election interference favored Trump
The Hill ^ | 05 05 2020 | Maggie Miller

Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas), President Trump’s nominee for director of national intelligence (DNI), refused to say Tuesday whether he agreed with the Intelligence Community’s (IC) assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 elections to help the president.

Both the IC and the Senate Intelligence Committee concluded that Russia interfered in the 2016 elections to favor Trump. The House Intelligence Committee’s Republican majority concluded in 2018 that Russia interfered in the elections, but did not conclude this was to favor Trump, an analysis Democratic members of the committee disagreed with.

When asked about his thoughts on these conclusions by Senate Intelligence Committee Vice Chair Mark Warner (D-Va.) during his nomination hearing, Ratcliffe would not commit to one side.

Ratcliffe said that while he had “no reason to dispute” the Senate panel’s findings, he also would not dispute the House Intelligence Committee’s conclusions, a panel on which Ratcliffe serves.

“I respect both committees, but I have not seen the underlying intelligence to tell me why there is a difference of opinion between the two committees,” Ratcliffe said.

Ratcliffe did agree that Russian interference took place in 2016, and he said that he expected Russia to remain a threat to elections.

Russia interfered in the 2016 to cause chaos and confusion and in that they succeeded. The random memes posted on Facebook prove they were throwing anything and everything against the wall hoping something would stick; the proverbial throwing a wrench in the gears.

One thing we can all be sure of is that our intelligence community was all in for Hillary.

The idea that Russia would want an American President who would:

Force NATO to increase spending in a massive way
Make America the #1 oil producer in the world driving prices down and offering Russia’s customers another alternative
Rebuild the US military in a huge way
Assume the alpha male on the world stage mantle (a position previously encroached upon by Putin)
Increase American manufacturing and the economic base

is ludicrous. There is no rational way to square what I wrote above.

They would prefer a candidate who -

Would continue the weak economic policies of Obama
Would allow NATO nations to fail on their obligations
Would not rebuild the manufacturing base of the US
Would not rebuild the military
Would do whatever you wanted for a few million in donations to their “foundation”

I can square these easily....

This is the most illogical fraud in history.

A Russian clickbait farm spent a couple of hundred thousand dollars on clickbait facebook stories. Soros spent tens of millions.

What had more influence?

Russia caused chaos and confusion in order to cover-up the election fraud being perpetrated by the Democrats.

I forgot an important one -

They would want a President that would throttle US energy production in the name of climate change

The only actual Russian interference in the election I percieved was the Russian Dossier given to aid Bought and paid for Hillery Clinton to help her get in power.

My only surprise is that they made her pay for it.

I don’t believe Russia really did anything they had not done previously.

The facebook ads were done by a clickbait farm and I don’t see any linkage to the Russian government.

I cringe every time I hear the GOPe say “Russia interfered”

I don’t buy it for a second. What could they realistically do to influence our election?

What had more influence? The blatant hypocrisy and partisanship of the US media or “Russia”?

Never forget - the opposition researchers for the Clinton campaign solicited and assembled the “dossier.”

Without their efforts to collude with Russians to interfere in a US election it would not have happened....

For that matter let’s be blunt and honest...

Our 5-eye intelligence partners also colluded with John Brennan to propagate this fraudulent narrative...

Stephen Halper, Joseph Mifsud, and likely others pushed information to the FBI through the CIA and state department.

Without that “information” there would have been no FISA warrants.

Massive criminal activity by our intelligence and law enforcement agencies and the one take away is still Russian interference.

So Putin supplied the info of the Pee Pee incident to help Trump. I’m sure that info was invaluable to Trump. Enough with the help.

It is widely known that it was Facebook and “Big Tech” interference. The Russians played the left and still play them. I suspect that Russia very well may hold all the cards and could easily throw the left under the bus as the Chicoms could but that is priceless information and a blank check and blackmail material. The left will never answer why they say Putin wanted Trump as President besides asinine talking points. Why would Putin when Clinton was easily controlled, bought and sold and manipulated?

At first I was worried than I realized,”The dude’s gotta get himself confirmed before he goes popping off about the corrupt Senate.” The Russian, Chinese, Israelis, etc., etc., etc., (any country that has a multimillion intel agency) have Hillary’s emails and a whole lot more. If Ratcliffe told the Senate what he thought of them he would never be confirmed.

Spot on analysis! The other question that should be asked is that the so called “interference” was discovery of Wikileaks on Hillary’s email deletion and her secret server ( which Julian Assange has denined) Neither the Senate or the House has looked into the contents of these emails, or the fact that her having a secret server is a felony, was under supoena and destroyed llegally, and for some reason the House and Senate see no problems with destroying evidence. How in the hell is exposing a corrupt womans crimes a bad thing? If thats what threw the election to Trump which is pissing democraps off, the real question is why are the democraps supporting felonies and crimes?
