WASHINGTON — President Trump said Monday that “everybody” enjoyed his White House coronavirus briefings — including himself — and vowed they will be back, just not daily.
In an Oval Office interview with The Post during which he predicted a strong economic rebound from the coronavirus crisis by the end of the year, and offered his opinions on presumptive Democratic challenger Joe Biden’s best pick for a running mate and the sex-assault allegations facing the former vice president, Trump said the briefings were must-see TV.
And he credited his frequent clashes with reporters for making engaging content.

If they didn't get a rise every time they ask it then they wouldn't be asking the same question at every press conference
The president could stop it easily enough by giving a short “yes” or “no” or “I answered that already, have you another question which has not been asked”?

It´s obvious that he was elected because he doesńt put up with the press´ badgering. Other Presidents let them but hés a good counter puncher. The more they badger him it only makes him look better when he shuts them up and hangs them on their own petard. Instead of asking relevant questions they just keep on asking the same questions and end up looking stupid. Which they are. It´s obvious the press really are the enema of the people. I tuned in nightly just to see him spank the likes of Jake Crapper and Quim Acoughsta.
I loved it when he spanked them and sent them to their rooms.
I hope he whoops their asses big time in the next few installments, holding them to a standard f professionalism. When they ask jingoistic questions, The President laughs at them as he should. The whole of America is laughing at these juvenile propaganda meisters too. Whats really laughable is that they can’t take it and make even greater fools of themselves.

He could, but he doesn't. So they keep asking in the hope that Trump will lose his temper, blow up, and respond with some petulant remark. If you looked into it I would not be surprised to find that the media types that hang out at the White House consider being called a name by Trump to be a badge of honor, and the more they can get him to blow up then the greater their standing in the herd.

Why is "the press" even there? They can watch it on TV just like the rest of us. We don't need any interpretation...especially theirs.
