The federal government has spent trillions of dollars to help dull the economic pain from the coronavirus pandemic, but Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio claims its not enough to stabilize the economy and wants to see monthly payments of $2,000 to most Americans until the crisis begins to fade.
"I think this is the best way to stabilize the economy and make sure that everybody is paying their mortgage, paying their credit cards, paying their personal loans ... and all the rest so that they don't fall behind," Ryan said during Tuesday's Fox News Rundown podcast.
"Once we do start unraveling the stay-at-home orders, we need to make sure everybody has met their economic obligations up to this point," Ryan added, "and that they have some money in their pocket so that we can actually have people going out to get the economy up and running."

OK,so the bill goes through.Within weeks of the first checks being released everything from rents,to chicken breasts,to chewing gum becomes 20% more expensive than before.
Putting aside that they dont have the money to do this, they’ve seized our freedom and understand that they’ve got to try and blunt the damage that that causes that may make us angry and lash out. That they think two grand is the figure tells you what they really think of us...
I've got a brand new wheelbarrow so I'm all set for bread shopping.
And the folks who have to pay for the money handed out to Americans move to another country.
If that should begin to happen, they’ll simply institute Directive 10-289.
Bread, comrade? We haven’t had bread since the revolution. Here’s a stale piece of mouse.
Next up illegal aliens should receive this to
How about this. The Feds should stop collecting income taxes altogether. The Feds should just print what they want and we prols will try to out earn them. Then it will be a fair fight.
Once this program starts, it will be impossible to end.
Sneaky way to push a universal welfare check through.
Abolish all welfare including programs like EIC, WIC.
Abolish all Social Security including disability
Abolish all student loans/Pell grants
None of these are needed of people receive a UBI
Abolish all tax breaks and install a flat 10% income tax on all income over $45,000 per individual.

Abolish PBS/National Endowment for the Arts
Set an automatic death penalty for any lawmaker that proposes reinstituting any of these. Automatic in that citizens would have the right and responsibility to gun them down on the street, don’t leave it to courts. The very act verbalizing the idea makes them guilty
Institute a national ID card that must be used as ID in national elections. Citizens only.
Institute a three-term limit for the house and Senate and modify the limits to allow a president to serve three terms.
Purge all voting records.
Require voters to reregister every 4 or 5 years like a driving license
Institute UMI for 3 three years active duty between the ages of 18 and 20 for every male and EVERY FEMALE. (This qualifies them for VA medical)
Remove most of the illegal aliens (Realistically you won’t get them all)
After doing this, we’ll talk about a UBI
Otherwise, it is just vote buying, inflation causing and a plan to make people slave to the government
Two grand a month for every person? The Zimbabwe level inflation that will result will raise the monthly cost of living, as measured in free-money-dollars, far more than two grand a month.
yep
and I’ll spend it on the same thing as the previous check. Prepping for eventual socialism.
dont give them ideas
Focus on the bottom 50% of Americans until we get beyond this and it’ll at least be better than forking over the trillions to their Blue State state and city overlords.
Just look at the mess with trying to funnel what they’ve done for the little people so far through Blue State unemployment offices.
