Now, some of those who snitched may be worried these business owners may show up at their homes or businesses, and Totsch said he thinks that's just too bad.
"If they are worried about retaliation, they should have read the fine print which stated their tips would be open public record subject to a Sunshine request, and should not have submitted tips in that manner, to begin with," Totsch said. He added that he released the information to discourage this kind of behavior in the future.

In March and April, St. Louis County officials encouraged residents to report businesses online that were not following the state's lockdown rules during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Those "anonymous reports" led St. Louis County authorities to issue citations to 29 businesses.
Totsch claimed that those who had "snitched" to local authorities caused job losses to others.

You learn the real character of a person in times of stress.
I have little patience for many of my countrymen. I would like to say “they mean well” or “their heart is in the right place”, but I can’t.
Our media and half of our politicians dangle the shackles of tyranny over the nation and too many of our fellow citizens want to wear them. We cannot survive this. There is always a “reason” to give the government more power - social justice, climate change, fairness, etc etc. Now we have a “pandemic” and this has succeeded far beyond the other justifications.
Prior to this pandemic we were enjoying a reawakening of “freedom” and the prosperity it can provide. However, it may be nothing more than a speedbump and I am not sure it changes our trajectory.

They need to get this fixed. The East German system that they seem to be trying to emulate, did not release he names of informers.
They need to keep trying to model the East German system of efficiency and effectiveness.

Let them shake in fear. Let them have sleepless nights. Let them have nervous break downs.
Now we need to make people in government afraid. This kind of tension is required for a free America. It keeps government from grabbing power when they should be protecting people's rights.

How can this be considered a leak? It was publicly available from day one.
