Michigan's Governor
self | 5-5-20 | self

Posted on 05/04/2020 6:51:10 AM PDT by Jerrybob

Couple of quick thoughts here -- the Michigan lock down thanks to our illustrious Governor. The one size fits all lock down. So typical of a liberal. Same thing as the whole class gets punished because one student acted up.

A normal person would have said something like this: Look -- we've got three counties in SE Michigan that are the hot spots; those we're going to lock down. The rest of the State -- county by county -- you figure it out. That's why we have counties. Do what's best -- you're all adults out there.

But no. Let's make the whole State suffer.

I'm really curious what people are doing in upper lower Michigan and the UP. Are they really following a total lock down or are they being smart?

You can be honest. I won’t tell. Promise.

Same is true for Illinois. Gov. Jelly Belly thinks the state is one big urban shithole they call Chicago.

My sister recently moved to Houghton county. Sounds like they’re as shut down as we are in Wayne county.

Yep, only takes one a-hole to ruin it for everybody.

Welcome to real life.

The left is for shared misery.

The big question about Whitmeris, when all is said and done, will she explain why she responded so slow in the week run-up to the Michigan primary? It was certain she wanted the Primary to happen and she slow-rolled the isolation order so that it could happen. This while at least 3 people in SE Michigan were assumed COVID-19 positive.
Once the primary was over, things escalated quickly and she acted. Undoubtedly, the voters attending the Primary polls were infected.

“She’s a total boob.”

On so many levels.

(Sorry, couldn’t resist.)

My former State Senator Pat Colbeck has sighted state law chapter and verse on FB (if you really want I’ll look for it later and copy/paste it) that she is way over her ski’s and techically we have been open since 04/28 and what she is doing is a huge abuse of her power.

Its similar in Maryland, Prince George’s and Montgomery County have by far the majority of the cases, but Gov Hogan has the whole state at “Stay at Home’

Also they want anyone leaving the state and coming back to do a 14 day quarantine, but no such requirement for those coming from Prince George’s and Montgomery counties.

New York is the same why. I am located in a county where there has been one death and we are still in lockdown until 5/15.

It’s obvious, Democrat’s need the shutdown to last longer so they can get rid of Trump, need more harm to the economy and to pass vote by mail.

Yep, it's ALL abut politics to the Dems, quite obvious. Look at boy Cuomo, his upstate has relatively few deaths, but he refuses to open upstate and wants to punish the people who live there all for politics.

Some parts of Michigan are >700 miles from each other, by car.

true. (at least this way, everyone can see just how dangerous she is and...hopefully...vote her OUT of public office!)

Couple years ago the wife and I drove to Houghton in February for a week to go snowmobiling.
They had their annual winter fest that was a blast.
Went several times from Houghton to Copper Harbor.
The whole place was great.

I live one county north of Oakland County. My pet theory is that the City of Detroit, Macomb, Wayne and Oakland are all automotive supplier heavy. REALLY curious how many Chinese came back from Wuhan from these areas to get the virus started. Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids make sense as well due to University of Michigan and Grand Valley State University.

Oh no. I went to the Reopen Maryland rally Saturday. We returned home through Delaware and my wife is at the store right now.

I guess I should call and tell her to leave her full grocery cart and rush home for two weeks of self quarantine.

It probably doesn’t matter that the only time we stopped in Delaware was for a couple red lights.

I spent over 45 years in Michigan and now live in Maryland. Lots of family in Michigan still so I have a bit of a dog in that hunt.

It’s disgusting how both of our Governor Monarch’s are showing their totalitarian tendencies.

Hogan was recently listed as the worst performing Republican Governor and just got served with a Federal lawsuit
