Having lived in hard hit Fairfield county in Connecticut for a number of years I’ve been following the covid-19 numbers for the tri-state region (CT-NY-NJ). As of today 29087 deaths have occurred in this region attributable to this deadly virus. Don’t remember anything like this occurring in previous pandemics.
Why do you think the media reports the cumulative contagion number rather than the number with active virus? Why don’t they discriminate between flu deaths (yes people are still dying of the flu) and coronavirus deaths? Why stress wearing of masks when the CDC says they are ineffective and actually could be harmful?
And Big Media is still promoting the hysteria about the “unknown”, implying that if people get outside too soon they’ll be killed. Or the dreaded “fall return” of the virus.
This is all irrational fear-of-a-monster-in-the-dark territory now.

Last flu season killed 80,000 over the course of 5 months. That’s 16,000/month. This “hoax” has killed 68,000 over the course of 2 months. I have never heard of a hoax that killed 34,000/month. It’s not just a flu.

I don’t blame the initial reaction, as we initially had no clue what we were dealing with, but certainly by April 1st, we were seeing dramatically low fatality rates everywhere but Manhattan. The fatality rates were not much higher than the normal winter flu bugs going around.
And we destroyed the economy for that. Everyone involved except president Trump, should be fired. Fauci and Birx should never be allowed to hold a job again the rest of their pathetic lives.
