In New York City, the U.S. epicenter of the pandemic, the death rate for people 18 to 45 years old is 0.01%, or 10 per 100,000 in the population. People aged 75 and older, though, have a death rate 80 times that. For children under 18, the rate of death is zero per 100,000. That’s zero.

Having lived in hard hit Fairfield county in Connecticut for a number of years I’ve been following the covid-19 numbers for the tri-state region (CT-NY-NJ). As of today 29087 deaths have occurred in this region attributable to this deadly virus. Don’t remember anything like this occurring in previous pandemics.

Why do you think the media reports the cumulative contagion number rather than the number with active virus? I want the actuarial data on those dying. Our actuarial data is extensive, so we should have a good idea how much time most of these deceased had left statistically. I have theory that 2/3 of the deaths are people that would have made it less than four months longer, period.
We deserve the truth of this data. Many of the nursing homes most devastated could more properly be considered hospices. We are being mislead.
