Dr. Deborah Birx said protesters who gather without wearing masks and not practicing social distancing at rallies against states lockdown regulations are devastatingly worrisome because they could spread the coronavirus to at-risk family members.
Birx, a member of the White House coronavirus task force, was asked by host Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday about crowds that gathered at Michigans state capitol from a public health standpoint.
Its devastatingly worrisome to me personally because if they go home and, in fact, their grandmother or their grandfather who has a co-morbid condition and they have a serious or a very or an unfortunate outcome, they will feel guilty for the rest of our lives, she responded. So we need to protect each other at the same time were voicing our discontent.
Demonstrations against governors stay-at-home orders have ramped up in the past weeks as the economic effects caused by the pandemic worsen and more Americans apply for unemployment benefits.

Yeah, you're worried they'll prove you wrong and you'll lose a very lucrative gig.
At odds with the advice of the Sturgeon General? Who to believe, who to believe.
From the start, I didn’t trust Dr. Birx. I don’t know why Trump does.
That’s a shame, because actually, a mask on her would be very improving.
Let’s see if Trump echos her sentiments!
I hate scarves. Always have. I just dont see a use for them. Hubbys aunt gave me a really expensive one for Christmas one year. Stayed in my drawer in the box for years until I finally threw it in the Goodwill bag.
Hey Birx do the letters KMA mean anything to you?
She best worry because Im not wearing a mask unless a work requirement from employer.
“not everyone can afford a scarf collection”
Funniest post I’ve seen today. Thanks. It’s good to laugh. Life, liberty, laughs and the pursuit of SUPERCRIMINALS who have overtaken this fabulous republic.
Had to go back to town from the Lake and was amazed at the number of people alone in their cars wearing masks.
Go hide in a cave for a year.
That guy disappeared after she spoke to the manager.
Surgeon General Adams says masks make it worse
Anyone who dares to question the sanctity of the ‘experts’ opinions is worrisome to them.

Brix is vicious manipulator. What she is really worried about is her BS will be exposed. No uptick in cases after the voters went to the polls weeks ago for example. An economy destroyed yet we still get “well what do you think Deborah?” from Trump.
Here is the reality no one in power is talking about. They have told us the virus can penetrate most masks so it is not useful for protection unless it is an n95 or better. But we should wear them to protect others if we are infected. Wait...the mask won’t keep the virus out, but it can keep the virus in ??? Does that make any sense at all???
She knows its all virtue signaling. That is why tomorrow Costco is going to start requiring people to wear masks to get into their stores in places that have recovered and places that have had almost no cases. This thing is dying out and the virtue signalers will do anything to keep the panic going.
Under a general lockdown, the only thing worrisome about a few people violating social gathering orders is that they themselves risk catching the coronavirus. The punishment is automatic. I sometimes call such behavior self-victim crimes.
Once the general lockdown is relaxed, things are different. With the masses of people going about their business, the few who break the social gathering orders threaten others and not only themselves. So, in Sweden and on the beaches that are reopened, law enforcement should stroll about are remind people of the social distancing orders, and be prepared to fine or otherwise punish those who continue to disobey.
Those of us who want to reopen our economy, our parks and beaches, who want to drive or fly to vacation spots, and who want baseball season to get underway, should support social distancing.
But, in perhaps a funny way, under a general lockdown, that protesters violate social distancing isn’t a public concern, only a self-concern; and, furthermore, is probably an excercise of freedom of speech.
