Former President George W. Bush called on all Americans to recognize their common humanity and help one another during the current coronavirus pandemic.

"Let us remember how small our differences are in the face of this shared threat," the former president said in a video posted Saturday. "In the final analysis, we are not partisan combatants -- we are human beings, equally vulnerable and equally wonderful in the sight of God. We rise or fall together and we are determined to rise. God bless you all."

Released by the George W. Bush Presidential Center, the video included Bush's audio against the backdrop of various images, including those of people holding American flags.

For 8 years Freepers genuflected and lit votive candles in front of a plaster George Bush statue.

But now he can’t catch a break from anybody posting here.

The change from Bush-love to Bush-hate is so dramatic it’s enough to give you vertigo.

It's not Bush-Hate so much as Bush disappointment.

And it wasn't sudden or dramatic.

It was slow and torturous and heart-breaking.

Watching him get rolled by democrats for the best part of 8 years and never standing tall to defend himself.

Dubya had great potential and hit a high point after the 9/11 attack but from then on it was a constant slide downhill with democrats drubbing him all the way down.

Says the fool who gave us TSA, DHS, flipped Virginia Blue for the next 40 years and refused to listen to his base when he pushed immigration, globalism and John McCain on America.

no, I will appreciate Trump for being Trump...hey, I never wanted him at all, and I can't say I "like" him, but he's been a fantastic president even if we don't like every single thing he does or says....

I liked Dubya better than his father, I'm glad Dubya was prez and not Gore....

I never loved the guy, though I did vote for him, but this wasn’t a bad thing to say. Bush sort of gets that he has to redeem himself. Wish more people felt that way.

I notice that “redeeming himself” never seems to involve reaching out any hand or support for President Trump.

Bush is a fraud

George,

I know a lady whose husband was badly injured in Iraq. You came and saw their family in the hospital. You have continued to correspond with them and she speaks very highly of you as a decent human being.

That being said...absolutely NO ONE wants to hear you speak anymore. Absolutely NO ONE wants to see your last name associated with American politics anymore.

Please go back to your ranch in Texas and enjoy your horses and your painting and retirement.

The change from Bush-love to Bush-hate is so dramatic it’s enough to give you vertigo.

The Bushes' obvious hatred and betrayal of Republican voters during the 2016 election was what was dramatic and gave us all vertigo. We now hate them back, which they earned.
