An announcement by the NK government that he made a public appearance at a fertilizer plant. Where are the photos? Was he in a box? It was a fertilizer plant opening ceremony. Was he the guest of honor?

LOL!
I’m still trying to figure out what is going out with the hands. They seem to be holding black straps.

Speculation about the Leaders of secretive Communist countries has been a staple of the Press since there were Communist Leaders. In such places every appearance or word is calculated for particular effects and when a Leader disappears for a time it ignites such speculation. Sometimes the spec is right on, often not. Andropov was presented reviewing parades while supported by burly guards and there is still speculation about whether he was actually alive at the time. Sometimes a disappearance means "only" that there is a power struggle and the Leader is staying safe. When he reappears there is usually a somewhat different set of officials with him.
It it is not Fake News but is speculation.
