As some states took steps to begin phase 1 of their reopening plans this week, others extended their lockdowns again. Fed up with life under tight restriction, Americans demonstrated across the country Friday.

Illinois began another month under a statewide stay-at-home order Friday, though hospitals were allowed to resume non-life-threatening surgeries and retail could open for pickup.

A group of protesters gathered in Chicago’s loop Friday to call on Gov. J.B. Pritzker, a Democrat, to come up with a plan to reopen the state’s economy.

Gov. Insane-alee of WA extended the lock down until end of May. Thousand unemployed, hundreds of businesses closed for good. I bet he’ll next propose a massive tax increase to make up for the shortfall while families are out two months or more on pay. Try to catch up on two months of utility bills, or house mortgage (almost 2k/mo) or credit card bills. The working people will begin to start filing for bankruptcy the first of June.

Same here in the Peoples’ Republic of Oregon. Whatever Inslee does, our Governortrix Kate Brown follows in lockstep. Here at the Coast, which depends nearly completely on tourism, hotels and restaurants will be shut down over Memorial Day weekend, which will be a death blow to a lot of small family-owned businesses.

Who stands to gain from these protests? Thousand unemployed? Were those people fired from their jobs or just told to stay home, perhaps work from home.....how many are getting welfare checks...that's what that is as part of the 2 Trillion $$$$s, call it what you will, it is basically welfare even if that freebee tap will stop after so many days. Maybe this protesting is providing cover for Mr. Barr and Mr. Durham's coming revelations starting with:

There is a protest tomorrow at PA governor Wolf’s personal residence in York County (Not the Governor’s mansion in Harrisburg.) I hope it gets up close and personal. What was that Hussein used say? Get in their face? It’s time to make these tyrants a little uncomfortable.

I expect that businesses owners may start to ignore these likely unconstitutional orders and reopen in defience of these tin horn tyrant governors.

In cal today Gov Nuisance who seems to be smiling thru the entire pandemic declared ONLY OC beaches closed. Now there is a reason for this. It’s called politics., He doesn’t agree with the OC very often. He saw two photos of the beach last week in huntington Beach and decide from aerial shots without talking to the local to shut down 43 milk soy OC beach. HB has a reputation for law and order and good control and being organized.

So 4,000 people showed top at the city beach while the nearby state beach was patrolled by armed state police.

HB and Newport went to court to get a temp injunction staying the governor’s order. No dice said the judge. And since he has closed the beach, it remains closed till may 11 when i can hear more argument.

The likely consequences of closed OC beaches this weekend is SD and LA will be more crowded increasing risks for those people.

Nuisance started this entire emergency by saying he needed to declare it so the hospitals wouldn’t;t be flooded. Well our hospitals, even in LA have been no where close to capacity. And OC is well below the national average for cases and deaths. They had 450 corona beds ID’d and yesterday had 9 patients.

Waiting to see what happens in OC tomorrow.
