COLUMBUS (WCMH) During Thursdays press conference on coronavirus in Ohio, Governor Mike DeWine announced the states stay-at-home order will be extended.
Late Thursday, the Ohio Department of Health released information on a new order by ODH Director Dr. Amy Acton, entitled Stay Safe Ohio that extends the stay-at-home protocol until May 29.
The stay at home order will be extended with the exceptions, DeWine explained Thursday. When retail opens up that certainly will be a major exception for that. Certainly its an exception in just a few days when manufacturing and other companies are allowed to start back so, it will be extended.

I wonder what they will do about out of state folks traversing the state on I-70 with no intention to stop except to refill their fuel tank?
According to the order:
5. Prohibited and permitted travel. People riding on public transit must comply with Social Distancing Requirements to the greatest extent feasible. This Order allows travel into or out of the State including travel that originates and ends outside of the state. However, persons entering the State with the intent to stay are asked to self-quarantine for fourteen days unless they are doing so for critical infrastructure or healthcare workforce purposes. For purposes of clarity this does not apply to persons who as part of their normal life live in one state and work or deliver services in another state. Persons who have tested positive for COVID-19, are presumptively diagnosed with COVID-19 or are exhibiting the symptoms identified in the screening guidance available from the US. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Ohio Department of Health shall not enter the State, unless they are doing so under medical orders for the purposes of medical care, are being transported by Emergency Medical Services (EMS), are driving or being driven directly to a medical provider for purposes of initial care, or are a permanent resident of the State.
Oh yeah...and the penalty for not listening to Dr. Acton:
19. Penalty. A violation of RC. 3701.352 is guilty of a misdemeanor of the second degree, which can include a fine of not more than $750 or not more than 90 days in jail, or both.

May 30th in Chicago :(
Until they push it back again. One thing I learned, NONE of these "end dates" mean anything. They're pushing back as far as they feel the populace will tolerate at the time. Then once the new date nears, repeat the process.

Funny you should say that. An OHIO poster on FB said as much as pains him. He is in solidarity with the free people of Michigan.

I’m sure Trump is enjoying the spectacle of these idiots being protested and twisting in the breeze. But the fact is the worst decision made by the worst crapweasel affects us all. He’s going to have to start applying pressure here, even if its only via the bully pulpit.

I sure hope so. Trump did a tweet this am telling Gretchen Hitler to respect the protesters and where theyre coming from and try to negotiate, but of course she wont. And I think hes got to be more visible in supporting the reopeners and telling the never-openers that theyre not going to be able to fund their states from the US budget.
And remind their state employees that when their pensions vanish because their states are bankrupt and these are unfunded, they know exactly who to blame: their governor.

May 4th for most of Indiana. This is all I could find for now.
That's actually a very good find. At least Indiana has a very detailed regional breakdown and timeline with multiple specific milestones and an "end date".
Whether I agree or not, I at least respect the level of detail and effort that went into that, as opposed to the open-endedness of most states (including mine).
I just reread it a second time and the level of detail is amazing compared to other plans I've seen.
I don't know a lot about your governor there. But my first impression is that he's got it together more than most.

Thousands of jobs lost, thousands of businesses closed permanently. Families ruined, utilities shut off, banks will foreclose, food banks out of food since nothing is coming in.(1930's)
Do I sense a 1930's repeat??

We went shopping today. Along with thousands of other not sick Alabamians. We’ve been stuck at home for over a month not sick in the least. The lines at the checkouts were LONG. But it was great to see people out and about and thrilled to be able to leave their neighborhoods.
