In the first 30 days of the policy, the Los Angeles Police Department has arrested 213 individuals multiple times, with 23 being arrested three or more times. They account for about 5% of all of those booked on misdemeanors or felonies, records show.
LAPD Chief Michel Moore said while crime in Los Angeles is down in almost all categories since the pandemic began and L.A. implemented its stay-at-home order, career criminals are now exploiting the situation, getting arrested over and over with no real consequences.
An examination of LAPD arrests shows that while arrests are down 37% in the last month, those arrested multiple times is up compared to the same time last year. Persons with multiple arrests now account for 5% of all arrests compared with 4% the same period in 2019. Multiple arrests now account for 10% of all arrests compared with 8% in 2019 for that time.

duhhhh
Arrests are down 37%, not crime. I don’t think anyone could have predicted what would happen if you don’t enforce the laws.
We are all just eggs to be broken to make the great utopian omelette.
You can't fix "Stupid "
but you can educate the "ignorant".
But, if the ignorant return to earlier behavior,
you can elect them to political office.
Glossary Item : if confused,.. refer to Gov. Cuomo., Fredo's older brother.

Career criminals are taking advantage of the situation, and committing more crimes???? Is anyone shocked at this turn of events? Maybe it’s time to rethink this no bail policy????
But, he can still vote democrat
Next the case of is water wet.
`Didn’t the enlightened leftists vote for less consequences and more kindness to prisoners?
A man in an expensive suit walked into a cafe with a shotgun in one hand, pulling a bull with the other.
“Some coffee, black no sugar.” he ordered.
The waiter said, “Sure, Chief. Coming right up.”
The man drank the coffee down in one gulp, turned and blasted the bull with the shotgun, causing the animal to fall to the ground in a bloody heap.
Then he just walked out.
Horrified the cafes owner ran after the man and demanded an explanation.
Oh, Im going to run for Congress so I needed to learn how to come in for a drink, shoot the bull and then beat feet leaving others to clean up the mess.
catch and release works well with mice too. /s...
In related news, thieves are cleaning out stores but are very careful to keep their loot below $950. Californias Proposition 47, passed by the good citizens of California in 2014, downgraded a variety of non-serious, nonviolent crimes that had previously been considered felonies to misdemeanors. These include shoplifting, grand theft, receiving stolen property, forgery, fraud, and writing bad checks. As long as the total value of the stolen property is under $950, only a ghost of an offense has occurred. A thief may now steal something under that limit on a daily basis and it will never rise to felony status.
So we now have videos of thieves dumping entire shelves of cosmetics into pillow cases.
Is this a great state or what?
I was a lad of 8 when the State Police came and knocked on the door one night and I overheard a conversation like this:
Police: Sorry to bother you so late at night, Mr. K__, but we need help with an investigation.
Dad: What can I do to help?
Police: (Perp) showed up at the ER last night with his male equipment cut off. Do you have any idea who might have done that?
Dad: No I don't. But I'm not surprised. (Perp) has quite a reputation in this town for taking indecent liberties with other men's wives and daughters. Do you want me to ask around?
Police: No, Mr. K__, you answered our question just fine with your first sentence. We just want to close our investigation.
That's the way it was done back in the early 1960s.
My grandfather, a small-town doctor, told a similar story about the totally mysterious death-by-shotgun of a man whose battered wife and stepchildren couldn’t possibly have had anything to do with it. Must have been a vagrant.
That is insane. Have to wonder how many other crimes they committed that they were not arrested for.

Exactly — or should I say eggsactly? :)
Release more criminals, which leads to more crime, which makes decent people worried, which leads to their allowing more and more dictatorial behavior from our overlords. And, of course, all of it leads to Trump’s policies being blamed.
This is very simple liberals love criminals and hate babies
