We should not think for a second, as we’re at the dawn of a new moment in history, that because extremism didn’t rise in a way that was able to take over the country in the past that it’s not still here and it still doesn’t pose a threat. Nobody should be comforted by those images whether you’re a Trump supporter, whether you’re a Biden supporter, whether you’re not going to vote at all. We don’t do that in this country. By hiding behind armed guards and wearing vests these legislators proclaimed their guilt in wrecking the economy. Had they walked out and calmly talked with the protesters they could have gained major political points.

Yes, get things back to near normal — but, you don’t have to be reckless about it. Some posters here say they don’t even try to keep a 6’ distance in public; and they refuse to wear a mask in stores and other crowded spaces to help protect other people — those posters are not behaving responsibly. Those simple actions would save lives — and, even if you don’t believe that fact, they will make it much easier to reopen businesses, schools, and recreational places. There are ways to change things, without providing the visuals for hundreds of election attack ads.
The only response they ever have is emotion give me a damn break!!! We are perfectly capable of caring for our elderly family members AND open the country!!
