By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including section 12304 of title 10, United States Code, and having determined that it is necessary to augment the regular Armed Forces of the United States for a named operational mission, specifically the “Enhanced Department of Defense Counternarcotic Operation in the Western Hemisphere,” I hereby order as follows:
Section 1. Activation Authority. The Secretary of Defense is directed to order to active duty for not more than 365 consecutive days, any units, and any individual members not assigned to a unit organized to serve as a unit, of the Selected Reserve under the jurisdiction of the Secretary of Defense, not to exceed 200 Selected Reservists at any one time, as he considers necessary.
Sec. 2. General Provisions. (a) Nothing in this order shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect:
(i) the authority granted by law to an executive department or agency, or head thereof; or
(ii) the functions of the Director of the Office of Management and Budget relating to budgetary, administrative, or legislative proposals.
(b) This order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations.
(c) This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.

Maybe they are there to train other countries’ troops or to augment their operations. Yes, 200 is a drop in the bucket to deal with the South American and Mexican drug cartels. Plus many of the cartel members are ex-special ops from their countries. They are tough guys.
Just in the National Guard alone we have 19th and 20th group, and other supporting sof units.
The 200 soldiers will probably be an interdiction team. Technically we cannot put our soldiers on foreign soil without their approval.
Maybe this is how Mexico is repaying us for all of the oil we bought.
I personally know the last civilian to leave Panama before we handed it over to the Panamanians (Chinese). This person was part of a drug interdiction team that routinely went into Columbia and a few other South American countries. It slowed the cocaine flow for a while in the United States.

Something like that and I can tell you’ve seen some crap. Trump does not make such edicts without reasonable cause so something is going on to threaten our country. He’s put his wealth, reputation and whats left of his life up for our nation. Yet the Democrats want us to think patriotism is a vile concept and we’re supposed to hate ourselves if we happen to be white? I do not snowflake - my maleness would wither off.

As a kid, I grew up in Texas near the Mexican border. Mexico was only a 10 minute trip to the border.
The local Mexican newspaper (https://www.zocalo.com.mx/ciudades/c/coahuila-cd-acuna/) would print actual murder and crime photos in color. We knew enough to stay out of Mexico in February and October. That is when the Federales would come by to raise hell.
Oh, the stories I could tell. Where else can a kid at 15 get into a bar? I knew a Chinese-Mexican named Pablo Wong. I would buy a case of Mescal Tequila for a buck a bottle and then turn around and sell it at college for $25 a bottle.
