From my earlier post...... There is total justification for American researchers co operating with Chinese bat researchers. America has been suffering from bat caused disease for 75 years or so. Such cooperation is not only not a crime, it is required to learn about bats as a disease vector.

So in order to learn how to combat American bat-related diseases, we MUST rely on the study of Chinese bats, in China, in Chinese labs that are monitored and controlled by a regime that wants to destroy America. And American bats are so hard to come by and to study in the United States. I mean, they're practically nowhere to be found. Besides, Chinese bats are more fabulous than American bats anyway. Amiriiiiiiight??

Bat disease study is a legitimate function of the CDC.

Yessirreeee. Now all we need is a CDC that views research on disease prevention with at least the same importance as its research on social justice and global warming.

My question from the beginning:

WHY would there have to be TWO bio-weapon labs in such a small area?

IMO, this was a deliberate act on the part of China, in their attempt to control the whole world, by weakening others.

So, from your post, I can assume you are uneducated and have a fierce desire to remain that way. Since you are uneducated you can’t grasp the fact that one can always learn more.

Further, you can’t grasp the fact that if you are studying bats as a disease vector, a place to learn is from someone else who is also studying bats as a disease vector. Of course if you don’t know what a disease vector is because your education is limited, you can’t learn from someone knowledgeable any way.

Ooooh. That hurt. I'm telling the teacher.

I'm not saying that research is not important. I am saying that providing funding and resources to someone who will use any means to destroy you is not the smartest way to go about it.

And as for your sense of intellectual superiority, well, at least there's one person on earth who agrees with you.

WHY would there have to be TWO bio-weapon labs in such a small area?

There could be reasons. Availability of personnel, transportation hub (for dangerous virus'), things like that. Like concentrations of tech companies in certain areas. Doesn't matter to me. Even if these two, I didn't know there was a second, study bats, cats and rats, that's irrelevant. China is our enemy, imo. I assume our enemy would have an interest in bio weapons, so if it's not Wuhan, it's somewhere. Disclaimer, I believe Iran is developing nuclear weapons, not power, so to the left I'm disqualified. I see nothing to make me think it's a deliberate act, though that's possible. The timing, China's strength vs the West just isn't there yet. Had this begun in the west, with no indication of the source, you might have a point, but this incident weakens China's position in the world. Though not in the third world, which they're helping. Accidents happen, I'd tend to think this was unintentional since it's had a serious impact on China as well as the west. I think their position vis a vis the west has been set back. If it were an accidental release, I don't care if Wuhan was developing bio weapons or studying bats, rats and cats since I assume they're developing bio weapons regardless of this site. Whether you're right that it was deliberate, imo a mistake, or an accident, they're our enemy. And if it was an accidental release, their behavior post release proves my point that western life means nothing to them. And yes, their long term objective is global power. Like Iran.

I’m no expert - but how would one be able to tell if it was engineered or not?

If a virus had mutated into a given form or was manipulated into the same form surely the two would be identical (?)

It appears that the actual meaning of conspiracy which is a joint effort by two or more people to accomplish an objective is unknown to most of those who use the term conspiracy theory as if it means something totally crackpot. On top of this it seems that a new trend is to use conspiracy alone to mean conspiracy theory which leads to something I have noticed recently which is to say somehing like, “This is NOT a conspiracy, it is real.” What is actually meant is that this IS a conspiracy, not just a theory.

English as I learned it in the forties and fifties no longer exists, current usage has become so vague that two people can argue a point in a very aggressive way while failing to realize that they are both attempting to say the same thing and would be in agreement if not for their poor language skills.

I used to read things and sometimes have difficulty determining exactly what the writer meant to convey but now I am often left wondering if the writer even knew himself what he was trying to convey.
