I can live with it. In most of the grocery sores I have been in people are wearing masks.
You can live with a lot of things.
We could live with singing God Save the King.
We chose not to do it.
Congress to to pass legislation protecting biz, both big and small, from WuFlu civil liability.
That would take care care of this crap.
First of all, whether people like it or not, there are lots of customers who ARE worried. This helps with those customers' peace of mind, and my Lord requires me to be charitable to my fellow man.
Second, the mask requirement puts everyone on an equal footing, so those who think this is an affront to their manhood do not have to worry about looking like a loser (because, ya know, braggadocio isn't contagious).
Third, and this is the genius part, arrogant and obnoxious customers who think this requirement from an establishment engaged in voluntary commerce violates their Constitution guarantees to tell everyone to buck up, go shop somewhere else to spread their cheery attitude.
Do I think this is all a bit much? Yes. Do I wish people would get on with life? Yes. Do I recognize that there are millions of people scared for their health and the health of their grandparents, and that me wearing a flipping mask is a first-world problem and in the long run an act of charity? Hell yea. The displayed attitude of GFY is what I expect from liberals.
