I'm not at all surprised. This was repeated many thousands of times for years by most networks, so of course, it made a lasting impression. There was not the same enthusiasm when the time came for the networks to fess up and tell their viewers/readers it was all a lie.

It may seem early, but I think Trump needs to get aggressive advertising. It takes time and repetition to change people's impressions.
