The risk of poor outcomes associated with infarcted tissue in your heart and brain is that you end up living with the deficits if you don’t die, hence the focus on rapid recognition and treatment: to prevent death and permanent debilitating damage.
You can’t treat strokes and heart attacks over the phone. Aspirin is a great start for suspected heart attack, however, which the dispatcher may suggest over the phone.

I suspect the problem is decreased hospital revenue for all the cardiac and stroke workups that turn out negative after a 5-figure workup.
The evidence of heart attack and stroke provided by imaging and/or blood tests are pretty convincing. They do charge an awful lot for CT scans and a cardiac catheterization or thrombectomy.
COVID cures the worst of our ailments, and then it is blamed for all deaths from those ailments, when linked.

There is compelling evidence that way more are going to die without getting Corona due to medical conditions that would normally be handled. Our society and health system is shutdown. It is not hard to imagine what happens to people during a partial apocalypse all by design. BTW,everyone dies of Corona according to the left and it’s all whose fault?

The tests are justified and the hospital gets paid, but apparently they are staying home.
I work for a large system. Yes, most definitely people are staying home. People who know they are truly sick are coming. Its like Christmas and Thanksgiving.
The spike in deaths would be an irrefutable data point that the heart attacks and strokes are actually occurring. If a person presents at the IR with stroke symptoms, they put them on blood thinners and monitor the progress. Surgical intervention is as rare as getting hit by lightning.
For a heart attack,the IR visit used to be an occasion for bypass surgery which after a few billion dollars of swag for the surgeons, they found out did not work any better than stents, which, in turn, will eventually go by the wayside.
IOW, all illnesses have been reclassified as COVID-19.
