White House health advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci said Wednesday that data from a coronavirus drug trial testing Gilead Sciences’ antiviral drug remdesivir showed “quite good news.”
Speaking to reporters from the White House, Fauci said he was told data from the trial showed a “clear cut positive effect in diminishing time to recover.”
“This will be the standard of care,” Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease, added.

Given the amount of money at stake, it would be quite hard to find someone, who would not be swayed by monetary incentives. One would almost have to give lie detector tests to ALL involved.
I trust Fauci about as far as I can throw him.

Certainly with a treatment this important to humanity, Gilead will naturally want to share it’s formula with drug companies around the world and refuse any profits from it.

Could the agenda be any more clear? Cheap generic shows great results in many studies: ‘anecdotal and we need more time to study this potentially dangerous drug that’s been on the market for 60 years’. Expensive proprietary drug show good results: ‘Well this is welcome news!’
