It maintains the 14 day quarantine for all people entering or returning to Maine and the special precautions for older Mainers and others at risk of COVID-19.

....

Stage 3, beginning July 1st: Tentatively beginning July 1st, Stage 3 contemplates maintaining the prohibition on gatherings of more than 50 people and other Stage 1 and Stage 2 restrictions, including the 14-day quarantine on people entering Maine.

However, he can run again in 2022 and he said he wants to do just that.

That's great news! I will pray for Paul LePage's health... I know he is not a young man.

Can anything be done about that stupid "ranked-choice" voting process in Maine? Bruce Poliquin was robbed!

Gorgeous.

Maine is a beautiful state. I’ve been there are few times visiting my daughter. There just wasn’t much to do when I visited. That’s why I was wondering.

This hoax was the first step in convincing the stupid American voters to vote in socialism. Watch for step 2, it will start very soon.

America better get skeptical soon.

Just a guess but I think all the democrat governor’s believe Biden is going to win and their states will get bailed out next year. So the heck with the economy until then.
As for Maine, it’s going to be tough for republicans to make gains in the state legislature if they can’t get out and campaign. Dem’s and Greens make this a plus 9 point left leaning state in registration. So it’s an uphill climb to make changes in this state.

Cuomo is demanding every company write him a book report to beg for opening.

-- Cuomo is demanding every company write him a book report to beg for opening. --

Similar in Maine, although some shops can open without going through that Chinese Fire Drill exercise.

In order to reopen, various sectors of Maine's economy will be required to work with the Department of Economic and Community Development to implement practical, reasonable, evidence-informed safety protocols and modifications that protect the health and safety of employees and customers. These accommodations may be as simple as closing break rooms, providing flexible working hours, employee training, and installing plexiglass shields, or as complex as adjusting a business' sales process and reducing occupancy to ensure employee and customer safety.

This collaboration between DECD and the private sector will result in what will be known as a COVID-19 Prevention Checklists. These checklists will identify best practices for the business specific to its operations as well as general best practices related to physical distancing, hygiene, personal protection, and maintenance of clean workplaces, among others. The checklists, which will differ sector to sector, will undergo a rigorous review process including from government officials, health experts, and industry representatives. Once completed, businesses that commit to complying with the requirements on the checklist will be provided a badge to post on their business door or website, their names will also be posted on the DECD website and they will be allowed to open.

Woohoo! COVID-19 Compliance Badge!

The Chinese flu viruse itself is real; however, its effects are grossly overstated and the continuing lockdown is a vile, inhumane totalitarian action, the fault of which is not with the virus, it's the governors, mayors and other political hacks who are to blame for all this physical pain, mental anguish, and social and economic destruction.

But as long as citizens meekly go along with the suspension of the U.S. Constitution and our "unalienable rights" (which are clearly no longer "unalienable" as the result of the deliberate actions of politicians and "The Experts"), this travesty, this debacle will continue.

It's becoming clear to me that the reason for once-brave and proud Americans' continuing acquiesence to the increasing and interminable un-Constitutional orders of state and local politicians is no longer simply abject and irrational fear of the Chinese Flu, it's that with so much of their lives under full control of politicians, being without a job and on the dole, fathers disgracing themselves with their timidiy and fear in the face of their children -- particularly their sons -- who are watching all of this, the need to DO SOMETHING, to be "part of the team" (since sports, office and other forms of teams have been banned by politicians) to "fight the virus" and because of the unquestioning acceptance of blather like "we're all in this together" is strong among many dispirited and weak-minded people, numbed by six weeks of forced isolation and compliance with each new and expanding politician's mandate.

This, I firmly believe, is the reason for all of the continuing (and, in fact, increasing in some jurisdictions) wearing of those despicable, dehumanizing and ineffective masks in public and of all the anti-social behavior ("distancing" if you prefer) going on.

To paraphrase the recent message of Coo-Mo the Mediocre, the petty tyrant of New York: We must obey and we all must continue to DO SOMETHING ... or we will surely DIE.

Well, you have to consider that *everything* closes after Labor Day. [In normal times, that is]. Unless you are real outdoorsy and take up chopping/splitting wood, skiing, hockey, ice climbing/fishing, snowmobiling, etc. Winter can be pretty bleak.

As with most of northern New England, you have to have a certain amount of survival grit. It’s not for everyone. :)

Can Paul LePage run for governor again?

He just announced on Howie Carr that:

I'm Coming Back!
