Mapping China's Biggest Trading Partners - Is Your Country One of Them?
The United States and China recently signed Phase I of a trade deal designed to thaw relations between the worlds two largest economies. The ongoing trade war between these two countries led to an overall slowdown of global growth in 2019, with continued weakness in global trade and investment. Despite this, China has maintained a positive trade balance overall and continues to be a major exporter to countries around the world. Our new series of visualizations maps out the relationship between China and its biggest trading partners.
The data for these visualizations comes from the International Monetary Fund, with all values expressed in U.S. dollars. Here is the breakdown of exports, imports, and trade balance between China and other countries around the world.

EVERYONE needs to disconnect from China.
I’m looking at every product.
Made in China goes back on the shelf.
“Is Your Country One of Them?”
I’ll go out on a limb here and answer “Yes.”
“Made in China goes back on the shelf.”
I sympathize, but good luck with that. Probably 90% (more?) of the products in our house say “Made in China.”
Food comes from the USA and clothing comes from many other poor nations around the world. Gasoline is made here. Timber is made here. Many cars are still made here.
My wife and I have been looking at made in China stuff and then we decide whether we really need it or not
most times it goes back on the shelf
I imagine there are many products that say Made in Italy or another country, but are actually Chinese owned companies in those countries with imported Chinese labor. Id like to know that information also.
While people say they want to bring back manufacturing to the USA, they also voted for politicians who created laws which activity inflates the cost of doing so, and have driven USA manufacturers out.
All those Christmas things... .
And the occasional Christmas card with a note about slave labor.
Yeah. China is selling us their crap.
Over time we need to slap big tariffs on Chinese products... start with the strategic ones like pharmaceuticals and move up to all crappy knives, waffle irons and assorted crap.
And if the release of this virus and a possible second one - make plans to remove them from the face of the earth.
Over time we need to slap big tariffs on Chinese products... start with the strategic ones like pharmaceuticals and move up to all crappy knives, waffle irons and assorted crap.
And if the release of this virus and a possible second one is intentional - make plans to remove them from the face of the earth.
On the other hand if China starts acting civilized then slow the process, get an apology... and reassess the future with them.
The world has sold its soul to China. China ALMOST killed off the planet at the total glee of the left.
“I imagine there are many products that say Made in Italy or another country, but are actually Chinese owned companies in those countries with imported Chinese labor.”
Absolutely true.
America, the worlds leader in globalization, who helped push it and even forced it upon others, now has a change of heart and thinks it’s not so good but only for China.
Saudi Arabia is still our buddy, but we want to lecture how Iran shouldn’t be others buddy. LOL
Years ago, when US firms were moving manufacturing jobs to China because they wanted cheap slave labor, avoid taxes, EPA and OSHA standards, it was all OK. Cisco, IBM, HP, Dell, Apple, Nike, practically everything sold at Walmart, US politicians were OK with it. Americans were told that this will create understanding between our nations and everyone will more wealthy for it.
What changed?
Well, now Chinese firms are crawling on the back of US firms and instead of US firms just exploiting the cheap slave labor, US firms like Cisco, HP, Dell, Apple are watching their market share decline with new names like ZTE, Huawei, gobbling up what was “ours.”
And of course the “ethical” arguments in why we are doing what we are follows. LOL
Everyone is being manipulated. I include you and I in that count, BTW.
On one hand, we must have all liberty rescinded and all small business must be destroyed, because “Coronavirus”.
On the other hand, China cannot be isolated and we can’t retaliate for all of this death and misery because “The economy”.

Individually you will find many cultured, principled, moral, educated, world traveled Americans.
Collectively, we only believe in one thing, money. Money is God in America.
America is ruled by big money, big interests that have the ear of the governors, presidents, congressmen and key administration or department heads. These interests can spend millions on lobbying, funding elections (and hiding what they contribute), on offering jobs to relatives, giving the firms that relatives own big contracts, etc.
No one one finds it even remotely odd that Home Depot and Lowes hard ware stores were left open, but every little restaurant was closed and they were not even given the OPTION to remain open if they could demonstrate that they can keep social distancing. That is because the big boys out there have the ear of the governor and when even so much as the rules are drafted, their voice is included. The state and federal legislator, an elected judge, a governor or even the federal side with all the heads of some of the big government enforcement agencies will listen when Goldman Sachs wants something.
But what about some woman named Maria that does hair or nails and is barely making it? Do you think the big state representative (who is getting paid even though everyone else isn’t) really cares about her plight if it isn’t an election year for him and he isn’t interested in hispandering in that moment?
If you hack to death a US resident working for an American news paper, who resides in the US, and do it in the most gruesome way (so he’s alive during much of his own dismembering), we will say a few words of admonishment and do absolutely NOTHING. Because Saudi Arabia is to important/big to fail.
On the other hand, I am sure that Lowes and Home Depot had to stay open because after all, I saw they have some candy and drink stands at the check out counter, so maybe they are selling life essential things.
I am proud to be an American because there are many good people in this nation, we have a glorious history pre WWII, but our government today is no more than an expensive whore for sale to anyone that can cough up the dough. Our government will sell it’s own people (which we did when offshoring was so popular and big corporations were even given tax breaks for leaving the US and firing Americans), jeopardize national security, sacrifice it’s own citizens... Our government has grow to large, to invasive. It is no longer responsive or even concerned about the citizen nor sees them as customers, citizens, or tax payers paying the bureaucrats salary. This government prides itself in part by destroying jobs in America, as the EPA did when one of the last big battery manufacturers shut down in Texas. And the ONLY people who really have any influence on the beast of a government are a few super rich and powerful individuals or big corporations, because this government can give a rats ass about some lady named Garcia that is just trying to survive.
