WASHINGTON — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Monday that Democrats will push for a vote-by-mail provision in Congress' next coronavirus relief package.
In an interview on MSNBC’s LIVE with Stephanie Ruhle, Pelosi said that it's important to protect the “life of our democracy” as the coronavirus crisis continues.
“In this next bill, we will be supporting vote by mail in a very important way -- we think it’s a health issue at this point,” Pelosi said.
Democrats have been for weeks pushing vote-by-mail ahead of the May and June primary contests— over a dozen of which had been postponed due to coronavirus— and as they look ahead to the November election.
President Donald Trump, however, opposes the idea and has urged Republicans to fight the effort.
A recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll found that a majority of voters — 58 percent — are in favor of allowing voters nationwide to cast their ballots by mail.

Question: I have voted absentee for a long time. I cannot stand up for long periods due to my back trouble and I also detest being near the filthy, degenerate scum Dems, who are over 80% of my neighbors.
So are millions of absentee ballots in even more danger now?
Stupid question here. Aren’t elections a state matter? Was Congress given the power to dictate to the states how elections are to be conducted?

The payroll protection scheme was needed because illegals with fraudulent state IDs could have easily been spotted by state unemployment departments.
Mitch McConnell will be helpless against the tidal wave of government handouts and goodies that are surely coming to ‘rescue’ us. Already they’re giving an extra $600/week on top of regular unemployment, more than many hourly workers were making. So, very little incentive to go back to work and a good reason to STAY HOME!!!. I put that in caps and exclamation points because that’s the typical response on social media if you dare suggest the emperor has no clothes.
They’re already talking about $2,000 a month for every American over the age of 16, for the indefinite future. This is total madness, and it means the end of America as we know it. President Trump has to stop the briefings, fire some people, and start over with a real plan to save our beloved country before it’s too late.
In IN those typically require a reason to obtain. I assume her plan would not work that way. But states administer election s so we shall see.

True, mail is handled by the US Postal Service which depends on labor unions and Dem leaders to keep their probably 85% Dem employees going.

I delivered US and campus mail as a university student for 2 1/2 years long ago. We got used to sorting and delivering John Birch Society, Socialist Workers Party, Communist Party USA, various candidates’ fund raising thank you mail and everything else. No secrets. Not to mention post cards.
Your mail carrier put “President Trump Thanks You” envelope in your mailbox. Will he or she hesitate about sending your upcoming mail-in ballot to the polling address? Think about it.
And a pesty Dem vote pusher came around our neighborhood asking to see the listed registered voters to drive them to vote for Hillary last time. They know where you live and where I live and where the ballots will be mailed from.
The only way they can win — CHEAT, STEAL, LIE....
My wife and I used absentee ballots for the first time, in the Wisconsin Primary election. We were able to track our votes (received, recorded) through the systems in place. We couldn’t determine IF our votes were correctly entered, though we can’t either using the voting machine.
Given how poorly handled the election was in Milwaukee county (thousands didn’t receive their ballots, filled bins never mailed) I simply can’t agree with any other scheme for mail-in ballots than the Absentee Ballot scheme already in place, where you can verify your vote was received and counted.
