49,963 deaths as of this moment at 10:20 am EST on 4/24/2020. We have plateaued at around 30k daily cases with an average of 2k daily deaths for the past month or so.

It is disappointing that we haven't seen a real decline in numbers nationally.

The reason we are not seeing a decline is that we are going about it all wrong. Physical containment is impossible. It will spread, and it will reap its results, and we cannot stop it. We can slow it down, but we cannot stop it.

All we are doing is delaying an inevitable result at the cost of destroying the country.

Even if the numbers are being artificially bumped up, it’s still a lot of deaths. All with most of the country staying away from others. While nowhere near as bad as the 1.2-1.4 million death predictions *with* strict social distancing, it’s still a lot of deaths. Had hoped we would be approaching 1,000/day instead of over 2,000/day by now.

Clearing out the nursing homes by sending covid there because those people cost the State money. Now they get to turn them into profit instead of liability.

Maps, how do they work?

https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/new-cases

You are deliberately ignoring the places on the map that you need to look, and are looking at raw numbers. That’s why the media switched to the Soros funded “worldometer.”

You need to click on the U.S. Maps here: https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/us-map

Then “deaths.”

OH LOOK AT THAT. 90% of U.S. Counties don’t have a single death.

If we counted influenza deaths the same way they count COVID deaths, we would have 250,000 influenza deaths EVERY year.

COVID is no more deadly than a severe flu season.

Open the USA.

In thread after thread you’ve insisted that the sky is falling, because you are digesting MSM propaganda and you actually believe it.

There is no question that the “curve” has flattened, and we are trending down:

From the web site looks as if the “kill rate” of the virus based solely on reported infected and deaths is .07%. And seeing as there are so many asymptomatic cases which are never tested the likely rate of infected to dying is well under the .07%

World Wide.

2735117-confirmed China Virus cases
× 0.07 death rate
191458.19- Deaths from China Virus

I had no idea we were running at a national total of that many...I just follow Florida and my county.

We need get to the root cause of this and extract revenge NOW. Nuke China off the planet. This was not an accident, it was planned or why else would they lock down one province while letting people fly from there across the world. Since some went to Putin land, we should ask for his assistance at taking out their western areas which I am sure he would be happy to do if we let them take over that area. Who knows, since ultra violet light seems to kill off the virus, perhaps a few hundred roentgens would help the planet get rid of the damn thing once and for all. All I know is I don't plan on spending my remaining years waiting for this thing to take me out while wearing a mask and staying six feet away from everyone. BTW, anyone consider how we reproduce from six feet away?? No, not going that path.

As long as Taiwan has an asterisk, I am skeptical about anything on that site.

And how many of these deaths are “probably caused by COVID” instead of actually caused by it. There’s an economic incentive to pad the numbers. These numbers are highly questionable then.

If we counted influenza deaths the same way they count COVID deaths, we would have 250,000 influenza deaths EVERY year.

Currently there is a financial and political incentive for the counters to call nearly every death from respiratory causes a “presumed Covid-19 death”. Approximately 8,000 people die every day in this country. As long as people keep dying from any cause... we are going to keep seeing a steady stream of deaths blamed on “Covid-19”.

I’m just trying to analyze different sources and seeing what the data is trying to say. Right now it’s not getting worse, we’ve hit a plateau and it’s not going down as much as I’ll like to see at this moment. Just my two cents.

I thought we’ll see data showing that there would be 1,000 deaths per day but it’s still 2,000 per day. 25 more days with 2,000 deaths per day, we will see over 100,000 dead in the U.S.
