President Trump had a contentious exchange with Washington Post journalist Philip Rucker at Thursday's coronavirus task force briefing.
Following the task force's presentation about the virus's vulnerability to sunlight and humidity, Rucker asked the president if it's "dangerous" for him to suggest that it's safe for people to go outside, pointing to the death counts in places with warmer climates like Florida and Singapore.
"Here we go, here we go -- the new headline is 'Trump asks people to go outside -- that's dangerous,'" Trump mocked Rucker. "You ready? I hope people enjoy the sun and if it has an impact, that's great."

If you’re exposed to sunlight, your body produces Vitamin D, which is a proven powerful immune system booster. Fresh air and exposure to sunlight were among the main treatments for TB for many years.
Jiminy Christmas. Did this schmuck raid Herb Tarlek’s wardrobe closet ?
If you store up your 1970s attire....it will come back in fashion sooner or later. Course, if he bought this brand new in the last year, he probably paid over $300 for the jacket, and that’s way over-priced.

Trump has an unusual presentation style. It’s more conversational than political. Sometimes he does himself no favors....let’s be honest.
With that said.....they beat him over the head with the ventilator issue and he came through. Does he get any Thanks? No.
They are now beating him over the head with the testing issue (we’re probably not at the right capacity just yet to be honest ). When we are comfortable with testing, I’m absolutely sure he will also get no praise. The Media will simply move onto another goal post and beat him over the head until he reaches that goal.
I think our media is biased because their true audience isn’t the people. It’s their corporate minders who have business deals that are in opiaitiin to Trumps policies. Media folks are owned.
Snazzy!
But vampires disintegrate in the sunlight. Is Trump trying to discriminate against the un-dead?
Ask Jenifer.
Someone should drop that turkey from a helicopter.
yes agree with you on all points except their audience-the audience is the 40% of voters who would vote for any Dem anytime anywhere and make excuses for them.
The ethnic block voting for Dems- that is the real story, its about 35-38 points of Dems vote and its a challenge for GOP. Without the block voting of African Americans (93% + for Dems+ and especially Hispanic Americans-approaching 70%,) CA would still be the state that elected Reagan governor and nationally the Dems would have a little over 100 seats and about 10-12 Senate seats. At Least Hispanics don’t vote 90% dems
Just look at the states won by Trump,he won 32 states but only 4 have a population of Hispanic voters over 13%. Clinton by contrast won 28 states and only 5 had a Hispanic population of under 13%.
Good post.
That dynamic is about to change. Trump has been attracting blacks and Hispanics bigly. I wouldn’t expect more than a plurality of either, but a plurality in excess of 10%.
"As God is my witness..."
He was a total wuss.
I love peyote.
