Earlier today US health official Dr. Rick Bright told reporters he was ousted because he insisted on limiting the use of a drug President Donald Trump has pushed as a Covid-19 treatment despite little clinical evidence it works.
Rick Bright was abruptly pushed out of his position as the director of the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority on Tuesday and given a smaller role at the National Institutes of Health.
Bright told reporters when leaving the drugs Trump has touted, hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine, “clearly lack scientific merit”
Dr. Bright was very upset about the use of hydroxychloroquine to treat coronavirus despite its record of success.
And now, just hours later, Dr. Bright has hired two far left hack attorneys Debra Katz and Lisa Banks to represent him.
Dr. Bright is ready to file a whistleblower complaint. What BS.
The government is littered with these bitter anti-Trump hacks.
Debra Katz represented Christine Blasey Ford during her 36-year-old attacks on Justice Bret Kavanaugh.
Katz is also a hardcore communist who was caught on video at an anti-Trump rally spouting off “resist” garbage at the cameras.

I’d like to know how doctors are supposed to rely on a drug that’s been clinically tested and proven on a BRAND NEW virus. This would require time travel....now THAT’S thinking outside the box.

Uphill case. Unless he can show specific damages in his reassignment, while he may perceive it as retaliatory, it would be a hard nut to crack.
If, on the other hand, it is completely a political hissy-fit - he may get some milage out of that.
The article said that his removal has been long coming, due to his incompetence and insubordination. It also provides the copy of a letter he wrote asking the FDA to give emergency approval for hydroxychloroquine:

How do you file a “whistleblower complaint” over your termination if the person you’re complaining about doesn’t even know who you are? LOL.

And it was likely over some really, really good reason that had nothing to do with his opinion of HCQ.
And that reason will likely become public if he goes down this path.

Here’s something precious - the clown that Trump removed from BARDA, who was undercutting him on treatment options and screwing up everything else there, and has now hired the lawyers who tried to take down Kavenaugh was appointed in 2016, by Obama.

One other thing - he has a PhD in Biology - he is NOT a medical doctor, but he DEMANDS to be referred to as ‘doctor’, which is usually only demanded by people who have something to hide (in non-academic environments).
