NJ Gov Murphy “Shreds” McConnell

Gov. Phil Murphy on Wednesday launched into a fiery takedown of U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell for saying state and local governments with cratered finances because of the coronavirus pandemic should be allowed to file for bankruptcy rather than rely on federal aid. “My breath is taken away,” Murphy, a Democrat, said of the Kentucky Republican during his daily coronavirus press briefing in Trenton.

The arrogance and ignorance is astouding:

Read the article:

1) He threatens to lay off public workers as if that is a threat?!? Most taxpayers would cheer.

2) He talks about irresponsibility?!?! As if what NJ has been doing all these years isn’t irresponsible? What an obtuse arse!

3) You think insulting the guy who holds the keys to aid is a smart idea?

4) Why should Kentucky or Florida or any other state have to pay for New Jersey? Why would that be an easy sell for any politician? Hey citizens of Ohio, vote for me and I’ll raise your taxes since to bail out New Jersey.

The bill for Governor Murphy’s endless lockdown power trip party has come due and he doesn’t like it.

Gov Woodchuck, my pathetic Governor is a complete ass and has turned NJ into a police state. The idiots who live here seem to be just fine with his actions.

That orifice couldn’t shred cheese for a taco. McConnell, on the other hand, could successfully switch from Yertle to a snapping turtle in a heartbeat, and shred Murphy without even breaking a sweat.

NJ is underwater in debt because of their pension and healthcare obligations to the government unions. The whole state is a house of cards and coronavirus shutdowns are being used to ask for a pension bailout.

But don't believe his bluster. Phil Murphy wanted to raise taxes to unheard of levels, so much that the dem controlled legislature balked and refused. Now he can do it and blame Trump. It's going to get ugly in NJ as we begin the Venezuela spiral.

The Turtle is an asshat. He, along with Chuckie and Nancy need to go. KY should be embarrassed by the two idiots they send to the Senate.

Too bad NJ. The red/blue divide is real. People who have been fiscally responsible and who have acted responsibly have no affection and feel no responsibility for the epicurean, irresponsible , neo pagan Democrats.

Perhaps murph wasn’t thinking of the constitution and bill of rights when he “shredded” the turtle. Maybe that’s above his paygrade. :-)

“Why should Kentucky or Florida or any other state have to pay for New Jersey?”

Really?

Because as F’ed up as the NJ politicians are, it’s NY, NJ, CA, IL and TX that generates most of the revenue and Federal aid that comes to every other state.

Good grief. WTF does Kentucky contribute? College basketball, horse racing and bourbon?

So, Murphy took time away from studying the Bill of Rights to shred McConnell?

BTW, McConnell is a Victim of another Pandemic, Polio.

Anyone who thinks this arrogant little sh*t is going to “allow” NJ to open up any time soon (definitely not before May 15th), is delusional. This little prick will continue to oppress the people of NJ, and will do it with increasing pettiness and vehemence the more the people complain or object.

My biggest problem with a bailout is that the pension programs and such that they want bailed out were already pillaged before COVID 19 was a thing.

Yep. He has to go. But he’ll probably get re-elected, even if Jack gets the nomination

“Because as F’ed up as the NJ politicians are, it’s NY, NJ, CA, IL and TX that generates most of the revenue and Federal aid that comes to every other state”.

Irrelevant. Being a large contributor does not give any state a license to be fiscally irresponsible and then ask the others to bail you out. In fact, if a state is generating disproportionally large amounts of revenue they should be in far better fiscal shape than the others.

The fact that NJ, NY, etc...are in such bad fiscal condition IS NOT the problem of the fiscally responsible states. It’s there problem. They F’d it up. They must fix it.

Murphy will do what all Democrat governors do. He will lay off all the people that work with the public and keep the higher paid Bureaucrats.
