CNN wont send staffers back into its offices until at least September. In an internal email obtained by The Daily Beast, network chief Jeff Zucker told staff that the vast majority of company staff will not be returning to the office in any significant way before the end of summer. Our expectation is that the rest of you will not return before early September, with a few exceptions in July for newsgathering and some in August, depending on the political conventions, Zucker said, noting that some dates could be subject to change. But, to be clear, production of our programs will continue from home, as is it is now, until the end of summer.
Over the past several weeks, many news outlets have begun to plan out what a physical return to company offices would look like. In a staff-wide email earlier this month, Fox News set May 4 as a target to reopen its offices, though given that New York City is closed down until May 15, the network will almost certainly push back this deadline.

_____
When had they spent any time there in any significant way?

>> Network chief Jeff Zucker
ATT made the decision to keep Zucker in control.
CNN is ATT
As far as possible Zucker will do the opposite of what Trump wants done.
OK Funny!!!!
Received emails from 3 customers they will not return until June 15, which is essentially July.
FUBAR
Very nice!
LOL!
When AT&T purchased CNN I personally dropped AT&T phone and Direct TV. CNN at the direction of AT&T is using stimulus money to keep CNN financially standing on its own so they don’t have to infuse more money into CNN.
AT&T is good at using other peoples money to fund their projects.
I am convinced they are deliberately doing this to get people made at the entire situation - so Trump will lose. But, it is so drastic, that I doubt the country will follow such a course.
In Minnesota, after a long winter, people are already out and about taking long walks and bike rides. I think folks in northern states will not easily comply with losing their summer time by being shut up inside.
Whats cnn?
Rush was talking about this today. Stupid thing is, though, this will increase the percentage of accurate news the longer they stay closed. They’re hurting their own agenda. What are they thinking?
What an idiot Zucker is
Good deal.
Yes, CNN & MS/NBC should be standing on their own. Telecom is licensed infrastructure — a utility. No way in Hell should telecom control the news.
CNN is ATT
MS/NBC is Comcast
Unfortunately, few give a damn.
The media, the Democrats, and the globalists have to keep this thing going, so that they can demand "mail in voting" and "smart phone voting" and thereby steal the fall elections.
Maybe the reason is as simple as Zucker is giving his employees ample opportunity to quit the company.
The Coronavirus is a nifty way for CNN to clear out all those unnecessary employees. Last figures I could find — they employ about 4,000.
My employer here in GA said, in a webex on Tuesday, we will be working from home for another month.
In that case, Trump should tell CNN they should go back to work tomorrow. That way, they might stay out 6 months. 😁
we know that cnn has offices in atlanta (georgia) and new york city (new york).
we know that georgia gov. kemp wants to reopen georgia very soon, even faster than trump recommends.
we know that deblasio wants to celebrate july 4th.
so why the extreme-sounding foot dragging from zucker for cnn?
something is not clear to me...
* The Coronavirus is a nifty way for CNN to clear out all those unnecessary employees. *
That was my first thought as well. CNN’s staff is entirely too large given the crappy product that they put out. The could sit a troop of baboons at the keyboards and pay them in banana slices and put out equivalent work.
