It was speculated North Korea's leader was in "grave danger" following heart surgery. Seoul's top office reaffirmed they weren't aware of anything out of the ordinary with Kim Jong-un's health. But a new report out of Japan claims the regime has been preparing a contingency plan for a leadership succession since late last year. Hong Yoo has the full story. Kim Jong-un's lack of recent public appearances, and the speculation surrounding his well-being, has raised the question of 'who will be the next in charge?'. The spotlight is now on Kim Jong-un's sister, Kim Yo-jong.

No, contrary to the headline, his sister is not named Yomiuri Shinbun, the Japanese journal that is the source of the story. She's Kim Yo-Jong. We might get to know her better than we want to.

He may not be dead, but he is almost certainly incapacitated if there is speculation about his sister replacing him.

I would really like to put Yomiuri Shimbun in charge of the Nork regime. It is a mainstream newspaper that, among other things, owns the Yomiuri (Baseball) Giants and the licensing rights for Popeye the Sailor Man in Japan.

Women despots, historically, can often be far worse than the men, is that not true? Only know of one Chinese Empress who was pretty bad.

Finally got used to saying Kim Jong-un. Now have to learn how to say Kim Yo-jong. Can’t she change her name to Chee? Kim Chee would be easier to remember and repeat.Kim Yo-jong sounds close to Kim Yo-mama, but she’s the sister. If she’s indecisive, she’ll be Kim Yo-yo.

Kim Yo-Jong may abdicate to her children, Ping & Pong or Ying & Yang to the Japanese. If he has been so ill, who has been firing all of his missiles lately? If he recovers, he will be pissed. He has only Un left.

I think we should wonder about who would replace her? Could North Korea ever get a sensible leader?

Unless secession is a certainty, I think what happened after Stalins death would be a good example to consider. I dont know that piece of history very well, but I think several guys went off to the Gulags or disappeared. Having a tight relationship with the head of the KGB probably helped.

Are those generals down for taking order from a woman? Just curious. Actually hoping they revolt. Would be for the best.

"A queen replaces a king. Its happened before." The MSM and DNC will investigate Trump if he meets with her. They will impeach and use the "bed baths" from the Russia gate to be their evidence.

When North Korea’s premier tv ‘’presenter’’, the excitable, rapid fire talking Ri Chun-Hee comes out with the crocodile tears and says Fat Boy is toast that’ll be the official word.

Women despots, historically, can often be far worse than the men... Justinian's Empress Theodora comes to mind. Procopius wrote a book, The Secret History, about her antics, secret because he knew what would happen to him if she ever caught wind of it. It's...vivid...
