California and Washington might have caught the less virulent strain. New York might have caught the more deadly strain ( i.e. the Italian strain ).
It appears Washington has caught a very deadly strain to the U.S. Constitution.
I'm not trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine but I learned a bit about it. It looks at health problems from an energetic perspective which often boils down to "hot conditions" or "cold conditions" in the body. People who go from hot to cold environments, like butchers who go from freezers to room temps repeatedly during the day, frequently suffer various disorders whose basis is called "cold wind invasion" in TCM.
Many different conditions can result that western medicine would categorize as as having completely different causes. Muscle problems, nervous system problems, infections from cold viruses and other pathogens and even digestive issues. But the same or similar herbal formulas that "heat" specific organ systems can effectively treat those seemingly dissimilar conditions because they treat a common underlying cause.
To tie that back into what you were saying, we often get 'sick' from experiencing things, physical or mental or a combination, that don't fit well with our normal physical and mental balance. It is perfectly understandable that your mind recognized that your job wasn't right for you and the going from cold car to hot outside may have only been part of the bad fit. In any case your body didn't like it and your mind focused on a solution.
That's my theory and I'm going to stick with it. :)
Good health to you and yours!
Your theory makes a lot of sense to me.
When it comes to digesting a big meal an easy after-dinner walk is probably the best thing. Something smart people have been doing for centuries. I should start doing that.
Please caution others about jumping in a hot shower after a meal or heavy workout. :)
This thing has been total bs from the get go. The Chinks have done a recon by fire mission on us.
