According to a report, at least seven federal lawsuits have been filed against the Chinese government over the spread of the deadly coronavirus, with some specifically singling out the Wuhan Institute of Virology, as US intelligence is now ‘near certain’ that the virus leaked from the lab there.
Fox News reported that “Americans across the nation are really seeking now legal remedies of their own…targeting the Chinese government, seeking reparations of trillions of dollars in damages.”
the report notes that “Five of the lawsuits do not seek a specific amount of money or damages. One, however, wants China to fork over $20 trillion, while another wants $8 trillion.”

Why not direct that energy at our tyrannical state governments?
The ChiComs will just laugh.They won’t show up in court...and they’ll ignore any verdicts that go against them. The lawyers bringing these suits are the only ones who will gain...their clients are the only ones who will lose.
Hate to say this, but it sounds like you are playing for the wrong team. Awfully close of absolving Communist China of all responsibility in this matter, and placing blame in our own people. Regardless of any lockdown they imposed, It was Communist China and only Communist China that bears all responsibility for any and all costs of their bio-weapon they accidentally on purposely released on the world.

If law suits work so well, we should have just sued Bin Laden.
China steals tech, spies, fixes their currency, breaks agreements routinely, and you expect a law suit will do anything?

The term “China Inc.” is not a joke.
Communists don’t know how to do real free enterprise capitalism. They just make it look like they do.
The CCP is very much exposed because they do not act as a state, they act as a “corrupt” commercial corporation.
This is the way to do it. Fight it out in court and if they don’t show up, use the directed verdict to seize their assets. The government and, of course!, the lawyers will get nearly all of the money ... but at least the Chinese Communists will pay ... and pay and pay and pay they must!
We have a 1.5 Trillion in debt owned by Communist China that can be wiped out and a plethora of Communist Chinese-owned companies in the USA that can be seized, starting with Smithfield Foods, and AMC movie theaters. And Communist Chinese citizen owned property subject to seizure. Not to mention tariffs. Any and all Communist Chinese money anywhere in the world except for Communist China can be seized.

I’d take that bet. China is facing a fecal storm of incredible size here. Watch for Congress to change the law under enormous political pressure. President Trump will lead that charge, I think.
