FDA authorizes first coronavirus test collected at home

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Tuesday announced that is authorizing the first coronavirus test that allows patients to collect samples at home themselves.

The FDA said the emergency authorization would make coronavirus testing easier and smoother by allowing some patients to collect their test samples without having to leave home.

The patients, after using the nasal swab, would then mail the sample to LabCorp, the company that makes the test, to be tested.

“With this action, there is now a convenient and reliable option for patient sample collection from the comfort and safety of their home,” FDA Commissioner Stephen Hahn said in a statement.

LabCorp did not provide details on how many of these tests would be made available and on what timeline.

The company said the tests would initially be for health care workers and first responders.

“LabCorp intends to make COVID-19 self-collection kits available to consumers in the coming weeks,” the company added.

Just like mail-in voting ballots, mail-in coronavirus tests are going to create a TIDAL WAVE of fraud. Prepare for another lockdown as the election approaches, probably based on MILLIONS of CV-positive swabs fraudulently mailed to LabCorp by the Demonrats.

Agree....that’s what it is ultimately all about because these numbers will tell us nothing useful.

The patients, after using the very long nasal swab, will call their local ambulance chasing attorney and sue the manufacturer for selling a dangerous product. Bank on it.

You beat me to it!!!!!!!!

DNA just happened to be my first thought.

Just think of all the wonderful things this man made virus has done for big government.

The antics of Hitler and Stalin are quite pale compared to what goes on today.

Anyone who’s shipped off one of those fancy stool specimen kits has also had their DNA recorded; it’s part of the test. Also, my husband’s pain management doctor ran a DNA test “to see which medications would work best on him”. Yeah, right.

So we will be mailing infected samples around the US. If I were a postal worker I’d demand hazzard pay.

Not allowed to mail dna in NYS.
If you want to send sample to 23andme you have to mail from another state.

I am not a doctor, but cannot help wondering if the same type of urinalysis test “sticks” that are used for pregnancy and drug tests wouldn’t be more effective for home testing? Why send contaminated samples through the mail?

Yep, and can you imagine when the at-home, Darwinian candidates self administer this test? Whoa Nellie!!
