The Washington Post report last week saying that U.S. Embassy officials in China warned the State Department in Washington as early as January 19, 2018, about inadequate safety at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) lab, in addition to scientists conducting risky research on coronavirus from bats.
The U.S. embassy in Beijing had sent U.S. science diplomats to the WIV lab, which had distinguished itself in 2015 as Chinas first laboratory to achieve the highest level of international bio-research safety (known as BSL-4). WIV issued a news release in English about the last of these visits, which occurred on March 27, 2018 Last week, WIV erased that statement from its website, though it remains archived on the Internet. The U.S. officials on the trip were so concerned by what they saw that they sent two diplomatic cables labelled Sensitive But Unclassified back to Washington.
The first cable, which was obtained by the Post, also sent red flags about the laboratorys work on bat coronaviruses and more specifically how their potential human transmission represented the risk of a new SARS-like pandemic. The January 19 cable stated: During interactions with scientists at the WIV lab, they noted the new lab has a serious shortage of appropriately trained technicians and investigators needed to safely operate this high-containment laboratory.
The cable also called attention to Shi Zhengli, the head of the research project, who in November 2017 published a paper that showed the horseshoe bats collected from a case in Yunnan province were most likely from the same bat population that had been behind the first SARS coronavirus in 2003.

I am searching for an answer to an allegation that I saw on twitter
Can a biolab level 3 do gain of function (bioweapons type research) on deadly pathogens in the US in the last 10 years.
Meaning certain laws have gone back and forth during the last 10 years. Has it always been legal for a level 3 to do those experiments in the last decade
btw, anyone know if Fort detrick has been reopened. It was shut down last year due to safety issues
And yet Fauxcy gave them $3.7 million from the NIH budget.
Significant piece of news. Wonder if the media are going to look in to this one? Oh, never mind....
To clarify...when gain of function research was allowed during the past decade..could a Level 3 lab do it or did it need to be level 4?
Fauci/ Strzok would know .....
A cover up? Ehhh no.
The issues were concerning and certainly this makes China look culpable. But it was a facility out of compliance - there was no imminent threat and then Im sure it was percolating up the proper channels to be brought up at the next diplomatic meetings - probably in January.
This isnt Benghazi AT ALL - where our embassy was under active attack, blatantly ignored by the state department and then covered up in the press with lies and deceit:
They need to keep their stories straight.
The answer would seem to be yes, the NIH seems to have abandoned the moratorium in 2019.
Quite a number of people with agendas are quite conflicted right now, as it should be with those with an agenda. What is the TRUE CFR? For Plaquenil to be shown effective at treating this virus those with that agenda really want a CFR in the 2-4% range. If the True CFR is around 0.8% Plaquenil will never climb out of its hole. But then the Venn Diagram of agendas includes those who are demanding America return to work! That agenda requires the CFR to be so low as to claim, Its just a Flu, bro.
IMHO even those pushing these agendas dont yet realize how they collide. Its gonna be interesting, to say the least.
i wasnt clear in my question which is why I clarified.
So WHEN that kind of research was allowed, could gain of function research of deadly pathogens be done in a Level 3 lab.
Since I saw a lab that was LEVEL 3 do it, I presume it was allowed...but I am just checking since I saw allegations it wasn’t legal
The US moratorium ran, as I understand it from 2016 until 2019 but that is pretty irrelevant if they continued it in China the entire time. From what I hear work with these pathogens all required Level Four.
Your document would indicate there was some cessation in 2014.
Plaquenil 1 of the most RHEUMATOLOGIST most prescribed drugs. Lupus, Sjogren’s, Juvenile Arthritis, Prosaic Arthritis, many auto-immunes. Niece takes for Lupus and Sjogren’s says it’s now in short supply for those who use it every day, better open up another pill plant in USA.
The reason I am asking is because that lab is the one that did the chimera with Sars like virus combo with horseshoe bat in conjunction with help from Dr Shi Zhengli from the Wuhan Lab fame. They jumped it to a mouse.
They were allowed to do it under the guidelines of the letter in terms of the funding.
The question is...if they were a level 3 lab would it have been illegal based on the fact that they were a level 3 lab IF they were a level 3 lab at that time. Maybe there were level 4 at the time. I dont know
To be clear, I am NOT suggesting that the current Wuhan flu jumped to a human at Chapel Hill..but this kind of thing is interesting about escaping mice
